We were going to fly from Paris to Vancouver this summer (haha) on Westjet. They just cancelled the flight and are surprisingly going to give us back our money. Because we are flying from a European airport. If we were flying from the UK we'd get lovely coupons valid for two years.

That reminds me I need to file a complaint about my Delta refund which has been "processing" since March

I just got refunded my cancelled Easyjet flights from 3 weeks ago. Once you got past some lovely UI barriers (hiding the refund behind a tiny link called "show me my other options") it was all straightforward.

Blair (and the consequences of their own actions vis a vis ITN) really broke them.

Yeah the actual process was pretty straightforward, and I have multiple mails from 2 months ago with Delta/AirFrance/KLM saying "yeah mate your cheques in the post" but uhhh somehow nothing in my bank a/c

I gave up with Ryanair. They said I could have vouchers or fill in a form if I wanted cash but the form didn't work after a month of trying. No sign of the vouchers either.

OTOH Vegemite is better than Marmite. But I also have no problem getting it from my Asda and it isn’t particularly expensive right now either.

Noxville posted:OTOH Vegemite is better than Marmite. How dare you. I married a wrongun, and she really can't get past the whole TimTam/Penguin thing, despite them being identical aside from the better tasting chocolate on the Penguin. She also prefers Vegemite. You can't win them all. We once mixed Marmite and Vegemite into a new salty monster that we christened Felmite. It actually tasted alright, but rather than having a consistency between the slow lava-like flow of Marmite and the bolshy steadfastness of Vegemite it was loving runny. Like, runnier than Bovril. I both recommend and warn you.

Jippa posted:"I could sell a boomerang to an australian." Should be a new phrase. a few of the people at work regularly use the phrase "he could sell rice to the Chinese", which I always think a) is a bit suspect given their occasional casual racism and b) wouldn't actually be a massive achievement as Chinese people presumably buy quite a lot of rice regardless of how much of a spiv you are although "could probably manage to sell things to people who literally have to buy them from one of a handful of companies and would then consider themselves god's gift to sales" is a very accurate analogy tbf
