Same director so hoping it's still good even though the sequel's gone in a whole 'nother direction.

This shit's about to go off.
It's basically Groundhog Day but with Andy Samberg, but I'm in anyway. The slight twist is that there are two people stuck in the situation together I guess.

Yup, that's a watch for me. Really enjoy both of the leads and they look like they bounce off each other well. I love that timeloops have become a legit subgene, all of them give it their own spin in a fun way. This one looks very charming.

The real question is, what are the chances that they directly name drop Groundhog Day in the movie as a way to cutely address that it’s the exact same premise? I’d say about 70%

Whoa, that's beautiful.

I wonder if this version of Candyman will have more of an angle of revenge against white folks? From what I remember, Tony Todd's Candyman killed indiscriminately.

Extremely strange to see a Candyman advert borrow from the works of Kara Walker. Was Candyman always about racial injustice? I must confess I only watched it once when not paying that much attention.

Candyman became a monster because he was lynched for loving a white woman and his hand was cut off because he touched her. And the whole movie's setting is in one of the poorest housing projects in Chicago. So... Big yes.

I suspect the same people were mad at Get Out, so this being a remake may not be the problem.

Okay, so here's the big question. All this stuff that's going on right now. I want to know from you, what is your opinion, please write it down in the comments section. Is The Dukes of Hazzard worthy of being taken off the air because of the General Lee? Was The Dukes of Hazzard a racially charged show? Was the intention - which is important - was the intention of the design, the paint scheme on the General Lee, a white supremacist statement in any way? And if you think it was, I want to know. I really want to know, because I am now being thrown into the middle of all this stuff, and you know I've been very vocal about it, but I want to know what you think. I know what I think and I want to know what you think.

Did The Dukes of Hazzard ever deal with race or did it just pretend that racial issues don't exist in the South? I can only remember a handful of episodes but I don't recall a single non-white character.

Dammit. Why did you have to post these? Now I'm obsessed with watching this man's horrible opinions, and reading all the comments from people who think he's some sort of philosopher king. He just posted one about "Dr. Quinn set today". It, unfortunately, had nothing to do with if Dr. Quinn was set today, but was just visiting the Dr. Quinn physical set today, and had more to do with Smokey the Bear than anything else.

Are the people in this actually singing the song like it appears? This is important.

I mean, I'm glad I'll finally get to see it, since I don't live in New York, and I'm not willing to drop literally thousands of loving dollars to travel there and see a show, and I'm not going to go through the dumbass process of waiting in a virtual line to maybe have the chance to maybe get a ticket for the touring show if it deigns to come to my city. (I love plays, but I hate Broadway culture.) And I'm glad it's coming to a streaming service I already pay for, because I wouldn't pay extra for it.

So...moderate yay?

Same, making this accessible to the masses, filmed with the original cast no less, is a great move by Disney. There was no way I was ever going to get to see Hamilton live. My fiancé and I are excited to watch it next weekend

The best part of Hamilton was making about $500 off flipping 2 tickets.

(The funniest part was I had them listed at just over face value for about 10 days and nobody bit on them, their loss).
