I saw him perform live about a year ago. He talked about the Aflack thing and making fun of Japan and all that near the beginning. Then at the very end of his set he talked about how his home was destroyed in hurricane Sandy and then he ended his set by mimicking a Japanese guy calling him on the phone and saying "not so funny now, is it?".

I love Gilbert because on his podcast he's very open and honest about how he feels about how that event went down without spending the next 60 minutes ranting and raving about how much of a pussy everyone is like most comedian's do. He knows how to read an audience which is why he's survived for so long. His act may not be for everyone but he's miles apart from whatever current comedian his hot this month. Did any of you know that Cesar Romero used to pay young men to throw orange slices at his bare rear end?

Was Tuesday's show the first time Howard admitted his father suffered a stroke a few years ago? I know he's talked about how his father isn't all there anymore but I always assumed it was from old age dementia.
