it's a shame we can't just fork every post in the entire forums without probably breaking some law of some kind it is nice how the entire discussion of this i've seen on the forums has not been "oh but can we trust this" but immediately turned to "oh poo poo better find a way to never give him money again", though it's not as if lowtax was a particularly likeable and beloved guy in the first place i guess so maybe that's expected

Lowtax is an rear end in a top hat and it sucks this website is tainted with his presence. Discord is weird. My friend group have kind of moved over there during lockdown because we can play games and chat to each other, but I found keeping up with the UKMT channel loving exhausting at times. I can quite happily scroll through hundreds of posts here after a few days out but doing the same for a channel seems much harder.

loving hell, I didn't expect to wake up to this. If the forums go down it'll be a goddamn shame. The sheer amount of information, knowledge and expertise here is totally unique. I learned/have been advised about lifting, dieting, mental health treatment, politics (this more than anything else), history, cinematography, building my own PC, here, and more. I'm a hundred pages into the ancient history thread and have 800 to go, and I'm learning all kinds of cool poo poo there too. I genuinely can't think of a topic that I wouldn't be able to look up here, or get advice from experts about gently caress you lowtax, you're a pile of dirt but we built a city on top of you

My work had us all take an "unconscious bias" course a few weeks back, to stop us from judging people or being racist. It was written as if it was a really shocking revelation that even black people can have degrees! And it ended with a heart-stirring slideshow of successful minorities, in which they showed one picture of a successful black woman (twice, presumably because it was too much effort for them to bother finding a second one).
