It's not just a personal thing anymore. Mods have previously used claims of hiding personal information to squelch discussion about previous instances of abuse by Lowtax. If there had been good faith behavior by mods earlier this year, I'd be inclined to acquiesce to a request to close the thread discussing the issue, but there wasn't good faith behavior and so I think that shutting down conversation about the issue isn't ethical or desirable.

Not that my opinion means anything in this case.
