Edit: Also IIRC they moved stuff to "the cloud" which was questionable IMO, because unless you have this traffic profile of variable but somewhat predictable workloads you're not going to save money. Cloud stuff is usually a tradeoff between dev velocity vs money in my experience.

Everyone is now realizing that the millions of dollars generated by this forum have all been completely wasted by an abusive drunk who has done literally no work and provided nothing to these forums other than requests for more money when his porsche payment makes him feel bad for a $100 cookie airlift expense. Hopefully that myth is dispelled now. SA could have been upgraded and modernized at any point in the past if anyone other than a giant parasitic leech had ultimate control over the domain. Someone with an actual job who didnt need to subsidize their entire life with forum income could have probably just applied 2-3 months of forum revenue into an upgrade

Every 10 bux helps, particularly since business has been extremely slow the past few years and I've had to withdraw my retirement funds to cover costs and past taxes from when SA pulled in much more revenue. The mere fact that somebody willingly created this thread without any encouragement from me says so much by itself, not to mention the money raised to help meet my $7,000 deductible for medical costs.
