I’m gonna do the opposite of what I normally do (minus buying it. Of course I’m buying it).

- the game has been delayed twice
- gameplay has been very minimal, QTE stuff and mechanics have barely been explained when the game should have already been released
- it’s made by Crystal Dynamics, which you gotta be cautious on
- the graphics are too crisp. You and I both know those are gonna get axed down
- it feels like Anthem

Beware. We need a ton more info. I am supremely interested in following the game though and I hope it’s good. But seeing some of the gear and skill screens, it’s looking half-assed and that’s troubling.

We are also in a pandemic. And I don’t know what effect that may have on development.

That’s as rational as it’s gonna be. Back to farting and eating Reese pieces these things are so good y’all

Dang sounds like a great game with longevity

Marel Heroes was a fluke. I don't think that combination of developers will ever happen again, sadly.

Sometimes games fail because they're not making enough money. Case in point is The Elder Scrolls: Legends, the CCG Bethesda put out for that franchise. They halted all development last November, but the game was still in the black and they'd just launched a mobile client in Asia that is still being developed.

Disney was going through one of their "gently caress videogames" phases so they were making it a pain in the rear end for licensing. Combined with a shitload of issues at Gaz, it all fell apart.

Feels like they are still in that phase. I've said it here before, but with how huge their franchise is right now you'd think there be a zillion games of every type on every platform. But there's like 2. It's the same problem with Star Wars.

The Star Wars thing is at least EA’s idiocy, but the Marvel stuff isn’t locked down to one publisher so it’s just fuckin’ baffling.

I wish that Iron Man VR game wasn’t PSVR exclusive, since I only have a Rift now.

Rule of acquisition #111:
Treat people in your debt like family...exploit them.

I thought someone at Gaz said that Disney was pretty hostile to stuff from before the buyout so when the game started floundering and Gaz wasted big bucks essentially creating a whole new game for consoles that didn't get the return they were hoping for, Disney let the license lapse. Frankly I don't blame Disney but you really think they would have handed another developer the license for a Marvel arpg but we don't even have a lovely phone game like that Diablo one.

Yeah. Since people had paid for them, they couldn't just "take them back." Customer protection and all that.

I'm seeing David Dohrmann as a sexual predator and voyeur. The "sexual assault" allegations from women at Gazillion don't seem to be publicly specified, so it could range from watching porn in front of them, peeping, to any degree of unwanted physical contact.

Is there no post in the previous 250 pages that got the details?

I spent 20 dollars to unlock Captain America this weekend in Fortnite. Considering the amount of money I spent on Marvel Heroes for Cap unlocks, drop in the bucket. Also, what game are you talking about ICR? And, my God, the next Marvel game by NetMarble looks insane.
