Yeah, I'm not surprised at all. I think much of that bullshit stems from the word "kuningas", or king, in Finnish. You use that word for someone like Loius XIV, Henry VIII, Frederick the Great and so on, but on it also used to mean something like chieftain or village headman. So you might find a fragment in some ancient chronicle that such and such was a "kuningas" in the are that would later be called Finland. What this actually means is that there was some village that had such a chief, but the loonies take this to mean that the whole of the Nordic Countries were ruled by that dude.

ELECTIONS IN SERBIA
This is more of a playlist than a write-up but I guess better than nothing.

The ruler of the country is Aleksandar Vučić. Formerly a member of the Radical party of the war criminal Vojislav Šešelj (the party and its leader are still active today), he joined the Progressive party, which splintered from the Radicals in 2008. He's been ruling the country since 2012, sometimes as the PM and sometimes as the president. His clips are very popular in the entire region.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJSxIymSkNw
He's talking to hundreds of monitors, Black Mirror style, and the people love him so much they "spontaneously" can't stop clapping. He's touched.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w5wGaF5n5aQ
He's giggling behind the chief epidemiologist who's saying that the virus is weak and "funny" and that women suffer almost no ill effects and can therefore go shopping in Italy because everything is cheaper now and they just have to prepare husbands for it. This was at the beginning of the epidemic.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bSaQfE43pTo
He's introduced to an AI robot. He asks her why she decided to come to Serbia. The robot responds at length that she loves Serbia, that the country has great minds, (presumably Vučić himself) bright perspective, etc. It's painfully obvious that the dialogue was prepared in advance and the robotic voice only adds to that.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vT9esL20qE0
He delivers ventilators to a city with significant Bosniak minority, as if they are a gift from him personally. He makes a point how he's doing this despite locals jeering at him once before.

Vučić's allies
Dragan Marković "Palma" is a Kingpin lookalike, buddy of war criminal Arkan, TV magnate, former martial arts practitioner, and leader of United Serbia.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xWzao-1QRQo

Ivica Dačić, is the foreign minister and leader of the Socialist party, which was founded by Slobodan Milošević.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6Ep2uL3AfA
He's an amateur singer and he singed to many heads of state. In this clip he was singing to Erdogan and then a mufti (?) tipped him.

Rasim Ljajić of Social Democrats, deputy PM and minister of trade stagedives feet-first. He is 56 years old.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ijTex_GKDMk

Vučić controls state TV, tabloids, and most other media. The opposing parties are demonized or ignored so they decided to boycott the parliament and the elections. Unsurprisingly, this didn't result in any improvement of the situation. Some parties then decided to drop out of the boycott for which they were labeled as traitors by still boycotting parties. That means that as a leftist voter your choices today are a) boycott the elections; b) go to vote but cross out the ballot (this is wrong, according to boycotting parties), c) vote for the least bad party.

Opposition

The option C is difficult given that Sergej Trifunovic (Movement of Free Citizens) is one of the opposition leaders. He's a cocaine addicted actor with an adolescent sense of humor.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=diKXdkPsXO0
He's the hysterical guy.
His instagram is @whistler_dick and he posted his cat's turd as a work of art. LOL! He was also recently recorded singing a chetnik (WWII Serbian fascist) song in a restaurant, to which he gave an idiotic and convoluted explanation.

Democratic party has a series of "Sticks and Stones" promotional videos like this one.

edit: This is by no means an exhaustive list. Just stuff that's been coming my way lately.

PiS has invented a new form of election tampering. A competition has been announced by Ministry of Interior - out of each region, one county with population smaller than 20 000, reporting the highest turnout, will get a brand new fire engine.

Which basically means competing for higher turnouts in rural counties, traditionally supporting pis candidates.

Nah. It's just a stupid loving article build on assumed weakness of the Russian spy network. The assumption that Browmoses research has killed Russian spying efforts is just wrong. While he and his te. have done a lot of work making it hard for Russians to spy. Undiscovered networks still exist and operate freely in many many countries.

This article covers the elections well.
https://www.euronews.com/2020/06/19/serbia-votes-all-you-need-to-know-about-europe-s-first-national-election-since-covid-19-lo

Why exactly they decided to boycott is a good question. There were massive anti-Vučić protests last year in Belgrade and other cities. The organizers were non-political at first, but later opposition parties joined - both left and right. I think they expected Vučić to fall from combined domestic and international pressure, like Milošević in 2000. However, there wasn't a lot of international pressure. Serbia is a poor country, not in EU, and close to Russia and China - so who and why would care much? Vučić weathered the domestic pressure and the opposition saw that the boycott won't achieve anything. They started changing their minds about the boycott, quarreled about it, and he used the situation skillfully. He now has complete control, nobody cares about low election turnout, the opposition will have even less media presence, and a strong opposition candidate hasn't materialized.

I suspect it was made with CGI beforehand and then spliced into the live footage. In the shot before the camera gets into the barrel, you can only see one tank.

If it's real, it is very impressive, though.

It's real footage, that's why Russian TV employs child camera operators, so they can squeeze into tight spots like that. Some people think it's unethical, but I say the results are well worth it.
