That's a legit exercise btw, bridges, and single leg bridges rule. If you have backpain, it is super clutch cause it doesn't load your spine but works all your posterior extension muscles.

Jesus god almighty I thought he was only tethered to the far building at first and - I think it was this thread where someone was talking about getting a horrifying feeling in their limbs when they see something go wrong? My abdomen goes cold and tenses up when I see someone about to get horribly injured and I'm pretty sure my entire belly is ice right now.

It's not cyrillic even though I first thought it would be, not sure what it's meant to be.

But I just realized that there is graffiti 12 stories tall, and from the looks of it someone has either crept out of a window on a ledge to paint the letters, or has been hanging from a rope from above :stonklol:

there are a couple fans of this in urban japan as well, i've seen tags on the higher floors of skyscraper apartments but i guess the culture of it is different so they don't go up and down the whole thing, they just do one really high floor and call it a day

Someone mentioned earlier about fire departments.
Let me introduce you to Grants Pass Rural Fire department.
This is some real OSHA poo poo. Look at these clowns. Also lol when the real Fire Dept show up and they tell them they don't want help so they pack up and leave....only to be called back a short time later because Grants Pass RFD can't handle the situation.

Also I learned that a lot of places in the US apparently you have to pay a yearly subscription fee to your privatized fire department or else they just let your house burn if you're not a customer of theirs. :laffo:

i've never heard of an actual privatized fire department, i'm sure the captains of industry have formed minor organizations as a weird/possibly illegal experiment but our civil fire response is mostly intact and hiring is competitive because as government work it's a very popular job to feed your family with

It's good stuff but the whole "you must pay into the county fire brigade fund or they let your house burn down" fact led to about 3 pages of libertarian thought leadership. If we can keep it to just dangerous fire chat it'll be fine.

Lol I think that was a joke.

For those who didn't know, Crassus was an incredibly important and incredibly wealthy member of the late Roman republic. The city at the time had no fire department as such, and Crassus spotted an opportunity. He would wait until some building in the city caught fire, upon which would assemble a team of slaves to carry water to the location. Once there, Crassus would offer to buy the burning building from the owner at absurdly low prices, with the catch that he would order his slaves to put the fire out if they struck a deal. If they didn't, well then, the Crassus and his firemen would just stand by and watch the building burn.

Honestly this is a way better deal than paying a private fire department to not be able to put out your fire.

Crassus was a terrible business man though. Who the gently caress wants a fire gutted building? He should have sold the water by the bucketfull.
