the best simpsons watching advice is to start with season 3 and watch from there until the quality declines to a point that you're not enjoying it anymore. If you bounce off season 3, you're not going to like it, and once the quality declines to the point where you don't like it anymore, it's never going to get better.

I been reading the poo poo out of simpsons comics lately and some of them are pretty damned good, a wealth of excellent simpsons content there is a great Radioactive Man the Movie comic that preserves the story hinted at in the episode where millhouse becomes fallout boy it's fun, here are some select moments you may remember from the episode and also the ending to fill out the image
