Trevor Hale posted:My dude have a child sunglasses with access to assassination satellites and no one went “Tony stark is loving evil and has assassination satellites” To be fair he was one of a few publicised people who actually stopped multiple world invasions and helped bring back 3.5 billion people back to life. His PR department probably creamed themselves and took advantage of it so in the public eye he's basically Jesus 2.0 except better because he's non denominational.

ChickenWing posted:Kitchen Nightmares UK is probably my favourite Ramsay show just because of how decent of a human he is. Like, he knows his poo poo, and he's not gonna tolerate your nonsense, but also he's not gonna go abusively off the handle at the drop of a hat. I don't know why people think the man who was literally sued for not paying his staff is a good person. Like, no, he isn't, he's an rear end in a top hat who likes yelling at people while telling people it's for their own good, and who has parlayed that into a career where he gets shipped around to be abusive to people for a living, while telling them it's for their own good.

Nobody's talking about the actual real life person Gordon Ramsay, only about the character of the same name from the show that he's still playing (think Seinfeld). In the UK version the character was much more nuanced and sympathetic, and the American version has turned him into a complete maniac.
