Yes, but client and server are separated as far as I know, so it should be able to disable it on client side. I could be completely mistake as well though.

There are a couple discord servers, although they tend to be centered around a YouTuber or Server provider. If you use reddit, which has its own issues, r/truetf2 is about genuine posts about the game where as r/TF2 is shitposting memes and a lot of toxic people. If you want a few discord links I can send them, but there is a lot of stupid gaming culture related poo poo in them, so truetf2 is my suggestion.

After reading this thread it makes sense why Creators went down. The guy who ran the servers was upset that they weren’t going to let people say slurs anymore and took his ball and went home. I know I’ve mentioned it before but my experience with creators had been mixed. I’ve gotten some people banned for being shitheads but it seemed endemic of the servers. The day before the servers went down I was vote kicked for telling a group of people calling George Floyd a NWord that deserved to die wasn’t cool. There was only like 8 people on the server so I was booted.

Thanks friend. I tried posting on Facepunch for a little bit, but the people were really pissy and then I read a blog post by Garry and went lol and left. I'm not familiar with Creators.TF, but it sounds like its got people working on it still. https://twitter.com/CreatorsTF/status/1277517700579889153 To try and keep things upbeat for TF2, I saw my Steam notifications tell me someone was playing 'Pre-Fortress 2: Open Beta'. I looked this up, and it's a TF2 mod that replicates the game based off the old beta/ trailer version of TF2 (back when the Scout still had the nailgun, all the characters had grenades, etc.) From there, I found there was another mod called Team Fortress 2 Classic, which got an update today which also replicates the beta content, but also game modes like VIP from Team Fortress Classic. ArraySeven also did a video (which is almost a month old at this point) saying that TF2 is still awesome. I admit, I've been a bit pessimistic about the future of TF2, but stuff like this gives me hope.

They just pushed an update that makes all pending votes automatically be yes if someone leaves the server when they're the current target of a kick vote. This should make it possible to kick out the bots for good during a game. They also fixed the exploit the bots (and others probably) were using to unequip your second and third cosmetic.

The bots were able to unequip players unusuals through server commands (but only slot 2 and 3) then block the ability to quick switch them back on. I also heard that they could force the item server not to respond. Valve fixed it with the help of a community member who debugged it.

There was definitely a later-wave commercial from before the whole prostitution/domestic violence thing came out where he says something like "we're making America eat healthy again" so I think that's either somehow a coincidence or he was just using the same racist 1940s dogwhistle as trump.

Anyone here use Marketplace.TF? The other night, I bought a couple of cheap Stranges from the Steam Community Market with the handful of change I had left on my Steam account. Do you need to have Steam Guard active to use it? It looks like it's part of Scrap.TF, which I've used before, which was recommended in the thread.

Tried TF2 Classic. Besides the Tranq gun, it's really nice to play a version of TF2 that doesn't have so much of the unlocks I've really grown to hate over the years.
