I did not put it on my car.

Maybe after the tire promo I’ll buy more. I’m sadly not driving enough to need tires soon, but it could be a hell of a 4wd burnout if I won those...

e90 328s are worth $12k? Is it the mileage? (i didn't check options) Because that seems really high for an 11 year old midrange car.

it's an xi with a stick shift with 33k miles, anecdotally green is a pretty rare color on e9x as well. he had it listed at $15k before which is a lol price. 12k might be reasonable without the lovely wheels and tires

I'd bet you could get it for closer to 10 unless the person is stubborn. 12k is pretty high but I agree that it's a good color with low mileage and the right shifting bits. Would (and change the wheels).

It looks like KBB has that mileage and options with an "excellent" condition at $9,255-11,646.

So not completely out of line, still seems pretty high to me though.

I would say the high end of that KBB valuation is more in line with the market

Hey thread, a friend in Boston is moving overseas for a dream job, and looking to sell his 2009 328xi MANUAL WAGON. Some comments:

90k miles
MY 2009
A few paint scuffs (lolboston)
Some upholstery wear
Winter car
No options other than cold weather
Some old-rubber cracking on the windshield seal gasket
Windshield and headlight covers are a bit worn/pitted
Wear in the trunk lid wiring harness (radio antenna isn't working great)

He has:
All service records (Second owner)
OEM roof rack crossbars, with lock and key
Weathertek mats
Brand-new battery, alternator (alternator alleges lifetime warranty)
All recalls resolved
Bilstein struts

His indy shop was offering to connect him with other customers who might be interested, thoughts on price? $15k is probably a pie in the sky amount, but the whole stick shift wagon has a decent modifier. 12? 14?

KOTEX GOD OF BLOOD

What's his indy shop? Is it German Performance Service?

I don't know much about wagons, if it were a sedan or coupe I would guess like 9-10k.

Is it on runflats? Any accidents in its history?

One thing to do is run the VIN through http://bimmer.work to get a sense of any other options it might have.

Tech that does it comes out to talk to me after it's done, he had seen the "NO WASH" handwritten on the back of a plastic dealer plate from the BMW dealer that I took it to for the airbag recall 9 months or so ago that for some reason I kept and have sitting in my passenger footwell.... turns out he used to work at that dealer and was 99% sure it was his handwriting.

He also said 'beautiful car' so Space Grey Metallic E92 for another win.

Thoughts on the M340i ?

Is it basically a 3 series with some M parts tacked on and a tuned engine?

Mr. Apollo
Nov 8, 2000

If by “M parts” you mean M badges, then yes. It’s essentially a rebranding of the top model for each series. So the 340i becomes the M340i, the 550i becomes the M550i, etc. They come with bigger M Performance brakes, and a stiffer suspension. I don’t think they do anything special with the engine.

BMW and Mercedes took their cues from Audi with its S models that slot in between the regular A models and the full blast RS model.

The Slon DCT covers had arrived! I'm very much looking forward to installing these and while the side cover may take a bit more, "motivation" considering the work involved to gain access to the top bolts, I'm eager to not worry about any seeping. Crested 15.5k miles while out too!

If you're looking at 2020 models then yeah, the M340i is a lot more car than the 330

3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder at 382 HP compared to a 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder at 255

Plus lots of Ms and color stripes all over everything, of course

The M340i also has the advantage of not looking anything like the 2021 M3!

Yeah they should've gone with a different name but there is no 340, there is only the M340, and it has more Go Zoom Fast than the other 3-series option; the 330

The decklid of the 1M sports only an "M" badge--which leads me to suspect the answer to your question: an LSD-featuring, wide-bodied, 6MT N54 ;)

I know the Z3M and Z4M also only have an "M" badge, and the M1 didn't have an "M" badge at all, but had 2 Roundels - 1 on each side of the boot lid.
