Is that 2.5ft of horizontal surface? Is it square, or cubed? 'Cause I don't want my 2.5ft on the ceiling.

Or maybe I do. :thunk:

Underground bunkers are cool and given our presidents lack of geopolitical skills and strategic thinking, not a horrible idea.

If you can survive nuclear annihilation for ~2 weeks pay and a weekend or two of work I say do it. It takes a poo poo load of concrete to stop radiation but a bunch of earth around you does a great job.

What's happening here is a lovely insulation job is falling off. It's really common in Russia and Ukraine and other post-soviet countries to try to renovate old lovely apartments by just gluing foam insulation all over the exterior of the building and then maybe slapping some plaster over top of that and it's famously done often without any permit by fly by night contractors. A lot of times individual owners will just get their personal exterior walls done and it looks awful. Sometimes they don't even parge over, its just like rigid insulation glued or screwed to the side of the building.

I'm sorry (sorrie?) I can't trust this made up listing with it's made up words
StoreYs?
NeighBOUrhood?

Also WTF's up with the inside Pattyoh (since we're just spelling things all over)?

Like there's some sweet jammin poo poo about this Haouse eh.. but like why take pictures before the thanksgiving feast with all the buffet dishes and poo poo in the basement? Why does a 4.2 million loonie house have a lovely office drop ceiling in their basement? Like why is there poo poo tier wrinkly apartment grade carpets in a room wtih apartment grade blinds?
Also probaly not the coolest to feature the picturesque view of the shell station eh?

For a second I thought this house was more southern like Niagara on the lake way not up Ottawa way, Niagara on the lake houses have stupid loving values (maybe less now) since it seems every other one is an B&B now and a 1br newer hoose is a cool million in funny money, meanwhile across the pond / river / in freedomland are more reasonable but less "in picturesque old towne canada" you can get this beauty for a cool 500k Freedombux where someone went a little crazy with the term "Accent wall"

I've always wanted to live in a depressing office park with ugly suspended ceilings. It's like someone built a cubicle farm but couldn't get zoning so just said it was a house.

Now with less breakage.

It's kind of amazing to build a tall, stand-alone house in what looks like a flat open area, and still make most of it feel like a dreary inside office. I'm sure it was expensive to put up, too.

Looking at it on
streetview, it really does look like it was meant to be a commercial property and got converted to housing when that failed - it's on the rear of a gas station lot, for one thing.
