IANAL, but you would have to think that any sale of this nature would have numerous representations and warranties in place to protect the buyers if anything significant was not disclosed during due diligence. Plus at this point there should be enough storm clouds on the horizon to prevent any competent law firm from signing off on a purchase at this point.
