GreenBuckanneer posted:Hunter x Hunter does this too, for the manga. His excuse is he was sick (probably just bored and burnt out) so the releases look like almost rough sketches until much later. Not to be but Togashi does have a bad back. He mentioned in some chapter notes that he was having difficulty just sitting upright and a hospital visit would be coming soon. Otherwise, yes, the Blu-Ray of Dragon's Dogma will most likely look better than the "TV" release. Plenty of other shows do the same thing. I do wish HowLongToBeat had some sort of import function. Same with Backloggery. Entering the 1000+ games I have by hand is very tedious.

Gujian3, achievement unlocked: figured out that the reason my controller doesn't work with it is because it DOESN'T autodetect and swap to controllers, you have to manually change the control style in the settings from RPG or Action to Gamepad, and then it works fine complete with accurate button prompt messages. Also I like the fishing minigame! Looking forward to more of that.

There are distinct acts in the game, the progress of which will end some available mini-quests during the acts, especially SkyElk. Once you leave a major story area, you want to check the main hubs, SkyElk, Qixia Woods, Yanling, Yanping, by actually teleporting there and checking for any side quests. You'll see the "book" logo for anyone who can be approached but you'll have to adjust map height to view all levels. I'd say whenever a Quest Board is updated that's a good time to check everywhere, including some of the places like Farlight Bay and your Lotus Base. I'd like to say some of the more specific map locations don't spawn side-quests but I can't say for sure. Speaking of visiting old levels, once you unlock the Pact feature you can return to old areas where the enemies are weak, and if you start killing a lot of the area enemies as Pact monster will spawn for you to hunt. I've seen it occur a few times when exploring old areas for sidequests.

You know, the Tropico games are ones I wish I was better at but can never seem to understand. I don't know if it's me or the developers just never explaining anything but I can never seem to turn a profit on anything past the beginning era. I can solve housing but I can never solve getting my workers to their places of work so most places end up at crappy efficiency because workers take 8 months to walk from their job to their homes. I wish it was easier to zone in those games. Attach housing to places of work so the workers who work there get priority and people get relocated.

I got Age of Empires 2 Definitive on a whim and my god the voice acting and narration are hilarious. Totally went above my head as a teen, but I'm really enjoying the accents now. Anyhow, anyone know of a difficulty order for the campaigns? Last time I played was three expansions ago...

I eventually realized I was just going to need a multitude of garages, teamster offices and tenements and should not put them all in the same place. Stacking construction offices and giving its workers a high salary didn't do anything by itself. I really struggled with the mission that required you to achieve a high % of happiness in a couple decades. It was really easy to get an early army base to stop the (seemingly) inevitable first wave of rebels. After that my economy always blossomed via cigars or rum and at 50% happiness everything was fine.

Hey folks. So I like to kill zombies. I never get tired of it. I love target rich games, and zombie games give me lots of those. The thing is, most of them (rightly so) have caveats and gimmicks that make the game more than just killing them, usually something that makes it difficult or even unsustainable, without doing other things. Example: I have, and love, State of Decay 1 and 2, but the game isn't about just zombie killing, but resource management and team boosting. All that garbage. Left 4 Dead games? You always have to be on the move, and it's linear. Dead Rising? Time limits and lovely bosses. So I sort of want to hear recommendations of some of the least stressed, cathartic, turn-mind-off kind of zombie killing game, preferably of an open world variety. Dying Light is probably a perfect example except I beat that game to death, twice. (Currently in Hard Mode Nightmare New Game + whatever). An older game I really liked but I don't think is supported by modern games is Survival Crisis Z. That game was totally my jam. Despite what I said above, I played lots of Dead Rising 2: Off the Record and DR3 (I tried DR4 twice and just can't stick with it. It runs so terribly no matter what). Other games I know of, and have, like the Nazi Zombie Army games, are linear sniper games with the worst bosses. gently caress, i hate them. Anyway, if anyone can throw some names, even if you wouldn't recommend them personally, I'd appreciate it.

Cardiovorax posted:The OP wanted something without the survival elements in those games, but I hear good things about 7DTD. Funnily enough I just made a post in the 7DTD thread asking how to not be poo poo (Because i'm not used to survival games), but since I figured that might be an unreasonable request for a survival game, I figured the next thing to do was to ask about non-survival games.

Morter posted:Hey folks. How are you with giant insects instead of zombies? EDF 4.1 and 5 are basically perfect hoard shooters where you get weapons and kill literally hundreds of enemies. Or musou games like Dynasty Warriors where you kill 1000+ men per mission if not more in beat 'em up roaming style. If you're down for proto-Dying Light, the Dead Island series also qualifies but with a heavier emphasis on melee weapons and thrown weaponry. It's kinda gross - no it is gross, zombie porno shot was a bad thing to find - but the rest of the game is brain-dead stupid run around the island killing zombies and doing sidequests.

Green Man Gaming didn't like me trying to buy games from them, again, and blocked my attempt to purchase Pillars of Eternity. So, while their customer support hopefully unfucks itself and stops treating me like a criminal based on my geographical location, I decided to try a game I had wish-listed and noticed came out recently. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2kd3-QVNN4Q https://store.steampowered.com/app/1229900/ARIA_CHRONICLE/ People are describing Aria Chronicle as Darkest Dungeon lite but very anime. I didn't play enough Darkest Dungeon to tell you for sure but I can recognize elements of it: It has randomly generated heroes with different traits that give them boons and weaknesses, it has stress levels to manage if you don't want your adventurers to act on their own or even outright desert your party, it has several classes which can do different things depending on whether they are on the frontline or backline during combat and it's all tied together by a central town that you help level up to improve facilities. It is also pretty tough if you get lazy and go into things unprepared but, unlike in Darkest Dungeon, you can pay a not insignificant amount of money to revive dead adventurers. Two hours in, it's good. I was worried the translation would be lovely judging by the store page but so far it seems great outside a couple minor typos I've seen. One Steam review mentions translation issues with the tavern dialogue but so far I haven't seen any so I don't know how bad they can get. The game is fun, a little tough (on normal difficulty) but at times it does feel a little budget, mainly in the pretty stilted animations and the fact that a whole lot of special attacks don't seem to have any sound effects associated to them. I'd say it's still a pretty good deal for 15 bucks (only for 20 more hours) considering reviews are saying it's at least 25 hours long.

Is there a way to auto-hide or filter visual novels from the store page? They clutter up the new releases and other charts and gets annoying. Are these games really that popular, can these people not find hentai normally, or is it all just a money laundering thing?
