strike witches is relevant to a minor internet thing of mine where someone trolled me on facepunch forums by buying me a 'I <3 Strike Witches' avatar tag linked to a lewd SW video

Did loving Strike Witches somehow become more than gross softporn poo poo for cringy weeks at some point?

Because, uh, 3/4 of the night-crew watching it at AX were roasting the gently caress out of it and the other 1/4 were either completely confused or sketch as gently caress.

Uzaki, Rent-a, and God of High School will probably be my to-watch series' this season.

Uzaki is a fun romance manga where the girl's both more dynamic and relatable than most shoujo stuff I've read and the guy is pretty cute

Speaking of Uzaki, here's a new thread! :toot:

Sakurai Shinichi's one wish is for a little peace and quiet. But Uzaki Hana–his boisterous, well-endowed underclassman–has other plans. All she wants is to hang out and poke fun at him. With the help of her chipper charm and peppy persistence, this might just be the start of a beautiful relationship!

uzaki (the manga) is actually bad not because the uzaki has huge boobs (which is good) but because it is boring (which is bad)

Rent-a-Girlfriend seems to be trying way too hard to be both comedy and drama and I cant stand any of the 3 main characters. Gacha Grandma is the only good part of the show so far, but I doubt that is enough to keep me watching.

Uzaki is ecchi?
I mean, I'll take the hit on HxEros because toku but sexy is hilarious.

Also poo poo like this is what I remember from the 2 episodes I watched
-snip-

All I'm saying is when and how the hell did that series turn into an actual fuckin franchise. I'm shook.

This is like some Fate/Stay Night poo poo. :captainpop:

no seriously i dunno what the gently caress you mean by the f/sn comparison cause f/sn is like the standard for vn that has obligatory goofy sex scenes that come like ten hours in but aren't the thing you're really entirely reading it for

:deadmau5: well that's what I get for not reading the manga. Yikesaroni.

I was kind of tongue-in-cheek with the Stay comparison. Though it did go from VN with the "Let me fill your *spiritual gauge* Saber!" To a huge cross-platform juggernaut.

Yeah honestly I shouldn't have been surprised about it.

the diff is the sex in fsn makes up like 1% of the runtime while pantyshots make up like 50% of strike witches runtime

The first few Strike Witches series were extremely gratuitous, I don't think that can really even be debated. It seems to have taken a turn for the surprisingly wholesome from Brave Witches onward, though. The extended PV for Luminous Witches looks super charming, and the comedy shorts from last year were great.

brave witches was more boring than it deserved—could've used some gratuity. the best dynamic in the cast shouldn't be relegated to side gags and an eyecatch. everybody in strike witches is super energetic and endearing, i love them all.
