I do recall chatting with a co-worker at a restaurant, who was taking the police exam or whatever pretend barrier there is to entry. I asked him why he wanted to be a cop. "Well, I'd like to carry a gun..." was the first part of the answer, and I knew it would be. "..and be able to use it." Ugh.
