I played Doom at like age 5 and plenty of other gorey M-rated games before age 10, snuck on the dialup at night to look up porn as early as like 7 or 8, was way into a bunch of dumb things that were just transparent marketing vehicles for toy sales, and thought the height of comedy was yelling BONERS and RAAAPE, which is basically the experience kids today get I guess. On the other hand I had a great loving supportive stable white people family to counter-balance all that and I still turned out kinda hosed up, so maybe I'm not actually a good example.

I would simply not encourage my children to pursue any of these careers you guys are talking about because they are all absolutely hosed and direct their interests in other healthier directions like booting heroin in a supermarket carpark

I have a pretty wholesome family but my internet was high speed and unrestricted in the early 2000s (i dont think they knew what was on there) so i saw goatse at like 12 and boyfriend exposed me to b0g.org by 14 and now im a communist lesbian furry weeb that does drugs and has 200 obscure fetishes Still more of a stable person than most career youtubers/influencers tho I think the internet is a freak-factory for kids but the people who make children's content for money are even more horrifying than the poo poo I grew up with

One major difference is that when we were growing up, wanting to be movie stars and models and athletes, we weren't able to turn on a camera that very moment and start broadcasting all the private details of our lives into a permanent archive accessible worldwide when we were seven years old.
