I am high risk because of asthma. It's been scary. Are your household members symptomatic too? Generally the isolation guidelines are isolating for at least 10 days since symptoms first started on top of having no fever for 24 hours along with general symptom improvement. But yeah, asthma does put you in the high risk category.

I just ordered one of these... https://www.amazon.com/Reusable-Res...96078736&sr=8-8 It doesn’t come for a couple weeks but does anyone have any tips for using it? It looks like it comes with the pink circle filters (maybe not) and the box ones, I have some blue round ones on the way too. Do I just pick whichever matches my shirt? I know the pink is better than the blue but are the box ones ok to use? The Fuzzy Hulk fucked around with this message at 04:34 on Jul 30, 2020 |

The cartridges are organic vapor and block everything - you won't be able to smell. They have a fairly limited lifespan for that purpose, but for COVID, you can pretty much use them until they're so clogged that you can't breathe. The disks are for particulates only, but unless you're staining wood or messing around with spray paint, that doesn't matter. I'm not familiar with that strap configuration, but I generally get the best seal from greatly loosening up the straps, tightening the neck strap until the mask is firm on the chin, and then tightening the head straps.

I ordered some masks from that MediDent place that’s been advertising on the forums. I ordered them last week, and they were supposed to arrive yesterday, but they’re not here yet and I’m starting to wonder if some funny poo poo is up. The last thing on the tracking info says that they departed a “USPS Regional Facility” 2 days ago (almost 3 days ago now) at 5:29 AM, and there hasn’t been an update since. And that facility is only like 2 hours away from here. What the gently caress is going on? Where are my masks? Did some USPS fucker steal them? I can only buy the “COVID is loving up our delivery times” excuse for so long.

They shipped mine the day after the order was placed and it arrived promptly, they're legit. Under normal circumstances I'd say check in with the post office, but at least at my local office that would require going there and standing in a lengthy queue, so, uh, maybe not.

Not helping that the governor extended the eviction moratorium from August until October. Not that I want to actually evict anyone, I just wanna get paid as promised. I'd agree that keeping people sheltered right now is more important except: 1) If it's so easy to chase down unpaid rent, why doesn't the state just pay small landlords and they can chase down rent themselves? At least the state has teeth where they can dock tax returns and such. 2) They reopened the loving casino a mile from me. Apparently it's safe enough to have olds chained to slot machines, but not safe enough to ease up on the de-facto rent cancellation. Feels a little psychopathic.

(They would have been referred to the police, who will probably give them a $1600 fine.)

What is shameful is the lack of good public health guidance in the US and that as one of the unfortunate results, individuals have to research even the basic information and deal with misdirection and misinformation. Please read the CDC website for public health information, and make good decisions for your own health and the health of those around you. Edit: Yes I've been an rear end. Rutibex posted:how do you know its opportunistic? do you know the income of all of you tenets? thats pretty creepy and really none of your business Insight into the income of tenants is absolutely my business, it's one of the first things you're supposed to screen for when choosing who to rent to; their credit and their job history and income stability. Between my previous knowledge, general street smarts, and the excuses volunteered to me, I can pretty accurately deduce which tenants aren't paying because they actually lost their income, and which aren't paying because there's no disincentive for them to just pocket it instead. Do I know for a fact? Nope, and that's why I'm not gonna like come out and accuse them or anything, but I mean come on. Some of them are obviously going for it and I don't blame them. My rental income is my livelihood though as it is for many, so it's befuddling to me that the government hasn't given small time landlords any consideration. I know it's not fashionable to own land on SA which is why I try not to bring it up but people were wondering why I had to go into Home Depot and I guess I segued into griping about it, my bad.
