It seems like the weirdest ones are from this "Stop-Republicans" group, that apparently is a real PAC-ish organization or something - https://nickgray.net/stop-republicans/

Apparently that organization has raised a pretty large amount of money and uses a lot of it on Facebook advertising, which makes me think that it's primarily aimed at boomers.

The others aren't nearly as weird, though I wonder why they still do stuff like that one Hickenlooper e-mail where the subject is just "upset" in all lower-case letters.

It's bipartisanship!
The Republicans implement horrific nightmare policies, and then the Dems normalize those policies and convince the Succs that they're actually cool and good.
Truly the incremental progress that liberals clamor for.

Although grifting is much more common amongst the GOP apparatus than the Democratic, there's still Democratic grifters who plow their fundraising back into fundraising (i.e. paying themselves).

OpenSecrets for Progressive Turnout Project lists them spending $4 million on salaries for $32 million raised...not counting administrative expenses etc....

For contrast, ActBlue spends $16,000,000 on salaries, but they have a throughput of two billion dollars.

A lot of the grifting on the democratic side is on the consultant/hiring side, not on the fundraising side. ACRONYM is the liberal org that gets hired to do social media/tech for democrats. The CEO is Tara McGowan. Acronym is the non-profit, but they buy for profit start ups to do contracts. Such as when Acronym bought and then invested a million dollars on Lockwood. Where the CEO is Tara McGowan.

Or at the very least, they're part of an Obamabot faction which is pushing strongly for her. It's worth a listen it's so ridiculous and fawning

Not really, it means social security is more likely to survive, as they want to thwart biden on everything.

Indeed, the mural thwarting of each other may make it one of the better possible outcomes of this farce.

don't think that this is a serious attempt at delay, it looks more like whipping up his more conspiratorial base like when he was talking about the same stuff in 2016

that said, a long election season would work to counter biden's strategy of keeping a low profile and winning by default so idk

Reminder that Biden isn't black, he isn't brand-new to the Senate/halls of power like Obama was, and Biden has a long history of working across the aisle. There will definitely be some reflexive resistance to his agenda from Republicans but I can guarantee you that he will not generate the level of insane vitriol that Obama did, so I wouldn't pin my hopes on some sort of Tea Party Mark 2.0 to save Social Security if Biden decides to start up another Cat Food Commission.

Its amazing how much money Trump is laundering through his campaign to himself and his family members. This country is just so hosed up and the rich people can pretty much do whatever they want. Secondly, the IRS has been so starved for funds that the only people they go after are middle class people because they know that middle class person cannot afford to fight it.

The worst part in all of this is it makes Biden look like a saint when the reality is his record is beyond horrible.

edit: To reiterate I do not want trump to win. The problem for me is that as a poor person on SSDI both Trump and Biden will probably make my life materially worse

There are bound to be Republicans telling themselves the same thing about Trump and voting R.
