Well darn if only this hashing and time stamping thing could have been figured out earlier than Satoshi. The internet really could have used it.

Oh, and besides the "sex with demons and witches causes gyno problems/ 'they' use alien DNA to treat people/ there's lizard people in the government " doctor on that sham doctors group, there are also:

2 ophthalmologists
1 orthopedist
And (drum roll for thread relevance)
A doctor who by his own biography hasn't seen any patients in two years because he's busy pushing bitcoin.

Uhhh.... yeah... That's the best an astroturfed panel of "medical experts" could come up with to keep Trump from being wrong.

Iran follows neither the international laws of financial regulation, nor the physical laws of thermodynamics.

(if you look through designboom, dezeen, and other design websites you can find plenty of non-iranian proposals that are equally absurd)

There are like half a dozen ways that would actually be bad for bitcoin but I'll bite, why would it become standard?

Are miners and/or financial institutions covered by any of the Iran embargos? Bitcoiners always have overcome "this is as dumb as it can get" so Bitfinex (being US iirc) getting hit for enabling Iran nuclear weapon programs is not something I would say isn't a possibility.

That cryptocoins will become centralized and controlled by governments, and private mining will be illegal?

Exploration is ill-advised.
Rai stones are the giant stones used as a form of currency in that one Pacific island, right? And there's one which is one the bottom of the sea because the boat transporting it sank, but it's still used and traded (or was) because everyone remembers where it is.

Basically cashless currency using collective memory instead of electronics.

I feel like one of the main fallacies of bitcoiners is that they more or less presume that currency exists independently of society.

it's also THE start of every bitcoiner's history of money

because it was the start of a Nick Szabo essay on the history of money

which is all any of them have read on the history of money

It's kind of amazing how they can completely miss the point of even that, but then again we've all seen how many people can if anything get more ignorant the more theory they've read

Authorities, with the help of the IRS, also obtained data from Coinbase about the Bitcoin addresses involved in the hacks, and addresses used and mentioned by the three hackers in the past in Discord chats and OGUsers forum posts.

Just like in Fazili's case, Sheppard managed accounts at Coinbase, where he, too, used his real-world driver's license to verify multiple accounts.
