It's not as refined as it could be perhaps, as it looked like the mother had a bedridden-esque trait while leaving the court, but it's probably not a big deal. I'm liking all the tooltips we're seeing and the game looks like it's going to be fun at the very start so far. Also, ruler designer confirmed as not at launch but free DLC down the line.

Generally seems like a far more interesting game than CK2, with less of a reliance on repetitive events and more systems focus. It also seems like the inevitable Game of Thrones mod is going to be amazing.

It looks like it was one of those Intrigue lifestyle events, they had the Skulduggery focus and this one was probably from the Temptation focus. I believe I remember the Dev Diary on this topic saying you could get lifestyle events that were outside of your focus, though more rarely, within the same group. Seems like an example of that. (historically, some people/chroniclers thought Alfonso and Urraca were lovers but that might just have been the usual Secret History style slanders against disliked political figures)

Okay my main takeaway from the stream is that the UI is an absolutely enormous improvement, especially the expandable notification list for things that don't get popups, and all the hyperlink text to people, places, and tutorials.

Looks like we don't have a CKIII thread yet so I'll just pop in to say I'm very excited for September and the stream looked good from what I could catch. Steam tells me I managed to get through CKII with "only" 425 hours played, so we'll see how I do in CKIII.

I hope they work on the building details on the map. All the settlements are just circular castles and look extremely generic. I know CK2 had poor map/city visuals, but at least it looked less generic.

It's weird that the best historical encyclopedia in any game is in Assassins Creed series, and it becomes more mind-blowing the wider their audience becomes.

Watching back through some of the vod I’m a lot more excited for the knight system than I would’ve thought. They seem to kick rear end in battle and I like that there’s UI for the knight vs. knight conflicts that happened during the battle. No idea how developed they are outside of combat but I hope it’s something that’s added a lot over time. It’d be a cool way to get attached to characters that could presumably die in any battle.
