It might have been a retirement fund or something about fine dining on the train. This is probably not enough information to go on, but who knows? ask here

I'm trying to remember a band, not a song. Early 90s pop but with a kind of fusion-y character. The band was mostly a collaboration between two guys and it fizzled out after around '95 or so. It had the name "fish" or "trout" or something aquatic like that. Not a very well known band, I'd never heard of them until this year.

Hi everyone, So this song I’m not even sure how it goes but I remember it coming up on the Pandora indie rock or indie electrónica radio station. I remember it was a female fronted group with two women and the album was green and it looked drawn. I think their album either came out in 2004 or 2005. Anyway, I’m trying to remember more information. For some reason the name garden keeps popping up in my head, but idk how accurate that it. Thanks y’all!

Years ago someone on here linked a video of a two-man rock band playing a slow and heavy blues rock song at some small outdoor concert. Their sound was super primitive, lots of starts and stops, no polish whatsoever. Seemed to be a small-time local band. It would be cool to hear it again.

The chorus changed after each verse (and I'm probably misremembering the lyrics) but one of them was something like "come on over baby, come on over baby baby" and another was like "we're having a party, party, we're having a party party".

Heard a bit of this at the grocery store, but could only make out a tiny bit of it before people started wondering why I was just standing there by the exit, and now it's stuck in my head. It had a 70's-ish rock/pop sound, with a fair bit of motion and a loose style. Couldn't really make out any clear instruments but probably electric guitar. Sounded like a male singer, possibly with backup singers at the same time. I kind of thought of Boz Scaggs' "Georgia", but maybe only because of the slight similarity to what I heard. I couldn't make out most of the words, but I think part of it went "[when/then] [you/I] realize, [that/just how much] I love[?] you/[that I'm in love with you?]." The first option is my best guess of those. The music just before those words went up a scale (almost major but the seventh note was flat, so Mixolydian) and stopped on the seventh note. The first two notes were quicker and the rest were I think even quarter notes; possibly syncopated but again it was hard to tell. If you listen to the first four seconds of the Mixolydian that's pretty much it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Musical_mode. Using those notes, the rest continues "G[when]-A[you]-Bb[real]-A[i]-G[ze]" then it maybe goes back down to F at the end of the phrase. In my mind the end of it started to blend with "We Close Our Eyes" by Oingo Boingo so I'm less confident about whether I've constructed my own earworm or I'm actually recalling it properly.

I was able to find out that the store I heard my song at is using Accuradio for their music (unless they suddenly switched since last time I went there), and maybe playing one of the 1970s channels or a Summer Hits channel (this week I heard some Jackson Five and Cat Stevens but also Chrissie Hynde's "I'll Stand by You"). I couldn't find a way to look through the Accuradio catalog, though, if that would even be useful.

It wasn't until I watched that trailer last night (I don't recall hearing it in the movie) that I remembered growing up I had heard this once and had been looking for it for years. I remember my family having some sort of barbecue by our back deck and my uncle had turned on his car stereo and was blasting music. I had heard this during that, and it'd stuck in my head, but over the years I forgot the melody (and eventually gave up entirely), so I didn't even remember that it was based on Red River Valley.  Oddly enough, both this song and the last one I requested ITT (Delirious) were both synthy 80s tracks that had ties to John Candy.

This is the world's biggest shot in the dark, but if anyone is well versed in Japanese rock, visual kei, etc, then... It was in Japanese obvs, male singer, voice wasn't especially deep. It was driven primarily by electric guitar and maybe synth. Sounded similar to TM Revolution but I don't think that's who it was? The title, translated by babelfish, had something about a gun and the phrase 'silver bullet' in it(? It may have been the gun that was silver) Don't remember the artist. It could not have been any newer than 2006 or 2007. I think I could hum it for you if you wanted. my sister just asked me to help her identify a snippet of music that came to mind, and while i instantly knew exactly what she's talking about, i have no idea where it's from. i asked my roomate and he was in the exact same boat the snippet sounds very bossa nova, or similar latin american style. a female vocalist harmonizes something along the lines of "oooohhhh ayeeeiii" repeated several times, and it feels like something that's sampled or played fairly often. all three of us have absorbed it through cultural osmosis, but we have no idea what it's originally from. it's the kind of thing that's very easy to communicate in person, but impossible to search for online

I've had this image in my head of an album cover depicting a women's claw-like hand scratching across a surface, with the resulting scratch lines forming coke lines (or at least implying this) Any suggestions? Heard two while traveling around and finding random backwoods radio stations. One was a very upbeat, recent-ish rock/pop, lyrics were something like "This is the sound of (life on Saturday?/drops on Watergate?)" and another section that sounded like the singer saying "I'm comin' out". The other was country, and unfortunately all I got of it was a male singer, near the start it went "You can never turn back the clock" (or maybe 'turn back time'), and it had either slide guitar or harmonica, so that's probably 5000 songs. It had a traditional country sound but the production felt like it was more modern, maybe made in the last two decades or so.
