I’m watching the sleepy hollow tv series, and the protagonists are currently in a haunted house and I think there are supposed to be some raven-like demons stalking them. For some reason the Nordic wildlife museum Skansen in Stockholm has peacocks walking around and mingling with the guests, despite being as far from native birds here as you can imagine. They're super chill and mostly hang around the ice cream stands waiting for someone to drop pieces of ice cream cone on the ground.

Peacocks are sometimes kept as pets in goddamn Australia, one roadhouse on the drive up to Uluru has some just roaming around.

I know some farms that keep a a Peacock on hand because they keep the snakes down and make a half-decent guard animal by hollering at unfamiliar critters.

Hummingbirds are so delightfully strange. I used to know someone who didn't like hummingbirds because "they're like huge bugs!" and yeah, that's why they're so cool. They are dinosaurs adapted into a typically insect niche.
