Probably because he's trying to get out of his own scandal already so this is a good chance to show he's turned over a new leaf (ha... ha...)

Almost all of it came in one game against Carolina. He was kinda poo poo otherwise in the 5 games he did play. I guess he did have a 45 yard receiving TD against the Jets.

I don't know that I trust Snyder to even have this pathetic amount of natural PR chops. I think it's a tossup between Snyder doing it, Rivera knee jerk doing it, and things somehow being even worse than they already sound to the point where there was no choice even for a ridiculously tone-deaf organization but to do it.

This to me says Rivera really does have full GM control at this point. Snyder has shrugged off so drat many scandals I can't imagine him giving a poo poo.

I mean they claimed Reuben Foster after he got released by the 49ers following a domestic violence issue (among other things) and basically shrugged off the criticism. Probably really is Rivera in control.

Maybe time machine observations have become sort of trite in the current era, but think of how goddamn batty this season would look to us a year ago.

No fans, Washington football team, Brady/Gronk on the Bucs, Cam in New England on a vet minimum, Rivers in Indy, Garrett in New York, Nuk in Arizona, Tannehill and Bridgewater are unquestioned starters while Dalton, Mariota, and Winston are no hopers, and Matt Schaub is still on a roster.

They're going to need that to roll over to 2021 to pay for the guys who opted out this year, though. It's not by any mean ruinous(especially because they've got a lot of real cap space in 2021), but you're kicking the can down the road on guys in their early to mid 30's with significant dead cap space. Some of these guys Belichick probably wanted to re-evaluate this year, and instead he's going to have a 34 year old Patrick Chung or a 33 year old Marcus Cannon on the roster pretty much regardless if their dicks fall off and roll down a storm drain.

He'll probably cut half the opt outs tbh

Maybe, but you're pretty much stuck with Cannon and Chung(which seems like an uncharacteristically irresponsible contract now that I'm looking at it). Dont'a Hightower is pretty much a unicorn, but I kinda wonder if they didn't end up drafting Anfernee Jennings to try and replace him so you never know I guess. That's the bulk of the money there.

I will take Jimmy and Kelce (to be the worse duo)

kiimo
Jul 24, 2003

There are Chiefs fans that flood any praise of Kittle online because they can't stand that he's obviously, obviously the best TE in the league.

But also 9er fans always retort that Kelce can't block which is disingenuous and factually incorrect. He just can't do it as well as Kittle.

The Kelce/Kittle debate is a good one. Yes, Kelce can't block as well as Kittle, but also he has a lower YAC per reception, a lower true catch rate (stripping out uncatchable targets), a higher drop rate, less separation per route, and a lower QB rating when targeted on virtually identical usage.

It's really a mind-boggler to figure out who is better
