Before the movie Howard the Duck was that weirdo comic that kept breaking the fourth wall, had LSD-trip style stories and was in fact, very cool and funny. Then the Disney lawsuit made Howard look and act stupid, and the movie killed off that franchise for good. (I know about the recent cameos in the Marvel movies, shame that they went with the post-lawsuit look.)

Haha, I have that book. The dialogue is rather hilarious and the attempt to translate David Hayter's brooding melodramatic portrayal of Snake to text makes it read more like a fanfic than a novelization. I still enjoyed it but not because of the quality of writing.
