I've got a few currawongs hanging around my backyard at the moment. Last year they made a nest up in one of our trees and raised a baby so I'm hopeful they'll want to nest here again come spring.

I've been feeding the maggies in my part of the neighbourhood for about 5 years and I'm sure the words got out to otehr birds as I don't get swooped at all. They also eagerly sit of the fence waiting for me to pull out the sprinkler and I can almost see the excitement as they wait for it to be turned on.

I was having a quiet cig this morning and a flock of Noisy Mynahs flew down and started goin crazy in a tree in the backyard. It seemed like they were calling all their mates to attack something.

They hosed off after a bit. I looked closer and there was a Butcher Bird (Cracticus torquatus) just chilling out in the tree. It was like 12 on 1. He/she was like loving whatever. They're about the same size.
