What really made Bob annoying is that not only did he write full essays in every post, but he's one of those people who insists on replying individually to every single person who replies to him. His initial post on the latest page is just like "Oh so there isn't a twist, how disappointing", so to figure out what the hell he's talking about you have to scroll through pages and pages of different arguments he's having with other commenters. And K6BD has a LOT of regular commenters.

One of them made me shout outloud "oh ok so you're a racist piece of poo poo I get it". One of the 'subtle' ones was him describing this whole rant about how it would have been better if Allison went inside her head to free WC from some weird soul prison and let her "choose her actual body" and basically read like dogwhistle for "let white chain choose to be white and not be forced to be black because of pandering" I didn't even read everything he had to say either, it got rather repetitive and he ranted a _lot_.

Dante Alighieri is the patron saint of self inserts, and I say this with a heart full of love for the guy. If anything he elevates all self-inserts, showing that they can get as good as "a cornerstone of a civilization's literature".

You can see what might be an allusion to this early on, when you've got a supernatural guide showing a human being around Hell, but 1) that isn't necessarily intentional just because you think you see it, and 2) even if it is, having one allusion to a work in yours does not mean you are going to slavishly follow the plot of that work throughout your entire story.

I think technically the structure is that if you could spill a drop of his blood you got to request any boon from him; the sort of overall assumption is that if you're going to come at Solomon David and hit him, you'd claim his Key and all the associated power because why not? But in theory you could ask for anything else you liked, and that would be it? So I think that he's sulking until the very formal situation where White Chain makes her request of him. I'm not sure if all that still holds though.
