I was very excited about finally being able to fly a mining barge this morning so naturally the first thing I do when I sign in is grab the Heron I bought as an Amarr citizen, slap a cloak on it, fly into W space, and make as much money in one hour of exploring as I would in three or four hours of mining. My brain is gently caress and I can't stop playing. Help me.

What's the situation of EVE under linux nowadays? I remember I was able to run it with WINE no problem except for one minor issues about background instances which where still sucking off full resources from my gpu as if they where in foreground. Anyway, is there a #pengoons room in jabber or something?

GARPA GTS is mostly usable under WINE in that it loads, the map displays, and the core features work (performance is awful though). EveMon does not work in WINE. Can't really speak for anything else, although jEveAssets should work.

Why is it that every time i open the launcher thinking "hmmm should I or shouldn't I?" It looks different? If they spent half as much time fixing the game as they do modifying the launcher, this would be a great game.

I switched to Manjaro 4ish months ago, but was about to move on because I was having stability/ACPI issues. The base system update that came through a couple days ago seems to have resolved it so I am going to wait and see. I have not noticed that specific issue with my GPU but I generally have at least one client in the foreground when playing Eve so I don't use any other tools than Google Sheets.I forgot that the CCP Linux launcher is just a wrapper for a custom wineroot so I guess the answer to the game being playable under WINE is yes

I had a ton of ISK banked but i've gradually spent all of it just keeping my sub up. I'll probably just stick to exploration/combat and try and explore wormholes a little more. If I can't be the guy to solo anomaly I might be able to be the guy that kills the guy doing it.
