Thighs thighs thighs!

Boneless skinless thighs are absolutely the way to go on the grill if you're doing chicken. I usually just season them up a bit and then hit them with BBQ sauce before taking them off the heat, but marinated would be great too. You can make absolutely sure they're cooked through but they're still moist and delightful when you pull them off.

I'd buy the Costco pulled pork and pan fry it in cast iron over a hickory fire. Then place on buttered griddle-toasted pretzel slider buns, sauce it with this stuff.

Sides are cole slaw and a mixed veggies dish of your choice or maybe tater salad, doesn't even loving matter the pulled pork pretzel sliders will be all anyone talks about.

Grilled thighs are amazing. I've got a sous vide apparatus, so I puddle them to get them cooked through / kill any potential foodborne illness before tossing them on the grill. It turns out chicken can be a little pink and not kill you!

Had my 16 year old son take his car to the dealer for an inspection. They called it out for not having a cat and having one brake like not working (but it had working brake lights on both sides and the center). My son was excited though because they liked his car, even tried to buy it from him he said....

The top exhaust is the one they failed. That's not a cat, it's a resonator, but I'm surprised regardless they called it out. The bottom is what we stole off my car to pass it.

I told him after "Son, they were trying to sucker you into selling the car." He's learning...

sounds pretty drat tasty, a strong teriyaki vibe which isn't bad. Rice on the side, maybe a bit of grilled veg. Pre-cooking the chicken sous-vide has an appeal too, but I don't have one.

If you really wanna have fun; list something for free. I gave up on it. Now if I wanna give something away I give it a price and I just give it to the first person that shows up.

My dad got burnt by that twice. I was only mad at him the second time.

I listed my daughter's loft bed on craigslist this morning, immediately got a text wanting to buy "the item". Instant red flag. They politely asked if "can come by today to get". Then they said they want to send me a code to prove it's a real ad. Second red flag. I didn't know what was up so I googled "craigslist code scam". It can be anything that uses a code for verification, they sign up, the service sends you the code, and if you give it to them you now have a google voice account or anything else that uses a 2 step verification via phone. While I was googling he sent "so can I send the code?" and I replied "No, gently caress you." It was very satisfying.

Next person is supposed to show up in an hour to get it. We'll see if they bring a truck like the ad said, or if they show up in an MR2. I sold a 32" CRT TV once and the guy showed up in a god drat Chevy Cavalier 4 door. But he crammed in in the back seat, much to my surprise. It had like 1/2" clearance after squishing the seat foam down.

I have no luck trying to give poo poo away because people decide my time is worthless and just flake on me, so I list it for 20 bucks and if they put money in my hand so be it, otherwise I just give it to them anyways. So far I have sold an end table and a bed frame for 20 bucks each when I would have been perfectly happy giving them away free.

Trying to sell a few things now and mostly just getting CL scammers. I guess I'll cut the price down a little, I had it set a few hundred high just to see if anyone would bite.

No can do on the 3 nights to practice :( Unfortunately my nights are booked pretty solid other than Friday.... between taekwondo and group evening workouts. I guess I could ask the Mrs. to give it a crack but I can't see that happening.

I did however buy a sous vide gizmo. I like the idea of basically cooking the chicken in a marinade and then a quick sear to give it some char and flavor. I might make my virgin use of it that night, but it sounds pretty straight forward.

carfax is bullshit anyways. It's only as good as its data sources and it's trivial to hide stuff from it if you want to. Hell, my white Comanche has a clean carfax and I personally drove it into the back end of a Camry in 2010 or 2011, can't remember which. They claimed against my insurance and everything. I didn't though, so the hit never showed up on my car's record. I didn't even mean to hide that accident from carfax and yet I succeeded. And I've seen a ton of super sketchy cutnshut body work on severely wrecked cars that entirely didn't show up on the carfax. So basically as far as I'm concerned, you're either willing to pay for a PPI, or do your own inspection if you are capable, or you should just stop wasting the sellers time.

Oh, another thing. You know how people say to never add up your project costs? I have under 3500 dollars into the Honcho build right now, not including axle builds (I was tracking this for LS swap cost reasons, not whole build) or fluids since it needed all the PM done when I bought it anyways. That's including buying the truck. I could get used to this kind of pleasant surprise, I was sure it was gonna be like 5 grand or more when I added it all up.

It'll probably be around 6-7 when I finish the axles, and around 7-9 after tires :sigh:

Yeah i had a festiva that had plowed someone in the rear end hard. yet the carfax was fine. There wasn't a straight piece of metal beyond the firewall, and even the firewall itself was lovely. It was the car that had a BP dropped into it, hence being a $500 pos.

I'm not sure of the science but it sounds like when you use 350 to get the inside of the meat to 160, you can overcook. If you use 160 to get it to 160, you can leave it there all day. It was pulled out of the railing and taken back to the car park for repairs, the thing basically wouldn't start or recognise that it was in gear and several hours later and on pulling and swapping many fuses the problem was found. Swapping out a working low range fuse for whichever particular one had blown and it was rolling again. Offside structure had taken a battering, light was smashed but still worked and the bumper has definitely seen better days but it was back on the track before closing to confirm it was safe to drive the dozen or so miles back to the workshop. Seems like hustling a large brick of a Range round a track with just RWD is a poor idea.

In broad strokes yes, but leaving food at a temp for a long time can denature the proteins in unpleasant ways. You get a few hours' flexibility though, which is a lot more than you do with traditional cooking methods.
