TS Imelda for me was crazier than harvey. Popping up so quick and dumping almost as much rain. My folks had no concerns since it was just a TS and then it completely demolished them after they had just finished Harvey repairs.

The US has never had an operational Cat 5 landfall. All cat 5s were upgraded in post-season reanalysis. Michael was also presumed to be a Cat 4 at landfall until reanalysis. Laura may end up being the first one operationally declared a Cat 5.
