There is no reason for your mask to be getting dirty, keep your shield down and wipe it as needed with water, soap, rubbing alcohol, whatever gets it clear. It’s made to be the first line of defense, there is no mask design that is easier to clean than a face shield due to it’s simplicity. Edit: the problem with your idea of wearing 2 masks as a prefilter is that anything that can clog the mask you wear now will clog your prefilter just as quickly. But, when I say my masks get dirty it is mostly just the straps, it is a dirty job. Also I swap out 3 or 4 a day and let them bake in my car to dry, but that won't be lasting much longer with the seasons changing.

Welp I have a Covid test tomorrow. I started developing flu-like symptoms on Thursday and did one of those self-evaluation things, which said it could very well be the ol' 'roni and to forward my results to a healthcare professional, who called 15 minutes later and told me to get my rear end to a testing center at the earliest opportunity, which in their case was tomorrow. I have every expectation that it's just the flu, but considering what we know about Covid, it'd be negligent not to get tested in any case. I just hope the testing arrangements are reasonable and sane, and I don't have to sit in a small closet with corona patients until my mayberona turns into definiterona.

As a follow-up to my earlier post: apparently at leat Finnish healthcare professionals are acting in a very sane manner. The instructions state there's a specific entrance to be used for entrance to the clinic, and the official guidance is to not even enter the clinic itself, but to wait outside until a nurse comes to get you. The tests are also only by scheduled appointment, so probably people are spaced out so reasonably that there aren't that many people waiting at the same time. Thumbs up to our healthcare people!

I was trying to navigate the streets to get like 3 blocks away from me but you know Cleveland, 2 seasons! Anyway I guess I passed either a free testing site or a a Covid supply giveaway. The line was taking up half of a pretty long street. One last question, but I probably know the answer: When I am working or get something from a gas station, or bring food home to eat SOON I wipe them down with Alcohol rubs. The Clorox rubs are not safe for wiping down food right? Running low on the alcohol wipes but hear at least you can get 10 for a bux at the Dollar Tree if I can't find any other places, also my dad said Dollar Tree has pretty big bottles of hand sanitizer.

Then I was escorted back out by the nurse who gave me instructions on how to quarantine myself until I get my test results back, had my hands disinfected again and I was done.
