That is just very nice work - the colour balance between the top and bottom of it are extremely satisfying to look at

Well, you happen to be in luck!!

The original is already spoken for, but I'm going to be getting prints made of this soon. I live in New Orleans, so we're about to get a hurricane in like a day or so. I'm gonna wait until after that to get things sent to the printers. I'm just getting started pursuing my art as a business/money-making venture, so don't have a website or an e-shop setup yet, but you can follow me on my Instagram and I'll post when I have prints ready!

Edit: I suppose I could setup a thread in SA-mart as well. I'm on mobile though and not sure how to start a thread without loving around in Chrome, which while possible is a drat pain in the rear end.

When I was recently building a new PC and looking for reasonable cases, some dude posted on his build on reddit along with his very organized desk and everything, and some dude loving lost it in the comments cause the OP had photoshopped out a cable. Guy proceeded to reply to ever post about how the CRIME that the OP had committed. People really do have strong feeling about cable management.

I fully cable managed my desk once, bought sleeves and velcro straps and everything. It was super nice looking and great for about a week till I needed to switch out some cables. Slowly but surely I undid all of it out of just necessity. Anyway, it was a fun OCD project but it's impossible to keep it that way.

It isn't? Unless you're replacing your equipment every two weeks or something?

Sleeves is a bit of a problem, if you use Velcro only it's a lot easier to add and remove cables. I suggest a long strip of Velcro every foot or so, on the underside of the desk (put a 1/2" screw through the middle of the Velcro into the underside of the desk about 3 inches in from the back of the desk), and for adding/removing a cable if you undo one Velcro at a time it's pretty easy to put in the new cable and remove the old one without affecting the rest of the cables and move to the next Velcro. I.e. don't undo all the Velcro at once like a drat moron.

Sleeves are nice for parts where the cables have to be visible, but in that case get the sleeves with a slit down the side that fold over themselves (as opposed to the ones you have to slip over the entire set of cables like a Chinese finger trap), and put Velcro around the sleeve at both ends to prevent the cables from pushing open the slit at the end.

And never use zipties.

I've had my desk cable managed for years at this point, and it's really not that much trouble to maintain.

This is a fairly new thing in the US, but back in like 2007 I was studying abroad in Berlin, and my roomates and I came home drunk one night and discovered a channel that played these train ride late at night. Being loving morons, we couldn't figure out what possible purpose they served or why they were on late, so we decided that since we could never find it during the day, that alcohol was the key to these shows, and you couldn't find it sober. It never occurred to us that they were for people to fall asleep to.

Going on that train trip is definitely worth your time if you ever get the chance. It really is that pretty even if you don't have the sweet view the driver has.

That (or a similar) video used to be on Netflix, maybe still is, called Slow TV. There was also a video of a boat going through canal locks, something with salmon fishing, and one with a group of women knitting a sweater from scratch (as in, first you shear the sheep, then you card and spin the wool, etc.) Apparently it was very popular overnight Norwegian programming.
