I don't think they've said how the VOD will work: but if its like the other Cyberfight promotions it'll either be on a few hours delay or a three day delay (most are the latter but they rush some shows to get them up quicker; generally things with more important matches they can't stream live) since that's how they do things and I don't see any reason why NOAH would be any different.

Half the tournament including the finals being live & free on Abema rules. Cyberagent have really done well by NOAH fans so far. If they are going to rush anything I'd hope it's the 20th September show as waiting 3 days would mean seeing it after the next show has been on. Which isn't the end of the world & I'm used to a lot worse from trying to follow last year's N-1 but that'd be the ideal situation.

That rules. Anyway, JoJo Remy at Voices of Wrestling previewed the N-1 Victory, which starts tomorrow with a really exciting card. If you're new to NOAH I think it does a good job describing who the field are. https://www.voicesofwrestling.com/2020/09/17/noah-n-1-victory-2020-preview/ I am so fascinated to see what happens between Kenoh and Nakajima because even though he's in Kongo it is hard to see Nakajima playing second fiddle to Kenoh. Even little things like him sitting in the corner while the rest of Kongo do their cute group pose. I don't expect a straightforward repeat of their Nation title match from August but I imagine they will still kick the poo poo out of each other out of principle if nothing else.

Today's show was so loving good. Flew by, 2 really good matches, 1 terrific match, & Inamura vs Sugiura was also really fun. Could've done with maybe one less non-tournament match but then I wasn't one of the fans who bought a ticket. Did think it was weird how completely blacked out the audience was though.

everyone seems to be raving about the noah card and saying it blew the cc out of the water. i'd give it a try if it weren't for the timing as three loving simultanous leagues are my absolute limit as is. the cc may not be as good but it's a lot shorter with less overlap with new japan

Ah man, just give the opening show a go, it's free on Wrestle Universe. And there's only one full show that overlaps with the G1 which IIRC is about the same as the CC. Bare minimum catch Kaito vs Mochi & Kenoh vs Nakajima. Terrific matches. Anyway, I got exceedingly sidetracked and failed to get the weekly schedule complete in time, so I'll just post the Saturday shows & edit in the rest of the week tomorrow, because I've gotta sleep for the G1. 19/9/2020, Saturday 11:30am JST/3:30am BST/10:30pm EST/7:30pm PST Stardom 5 Star GP 2020 Korakuen Hall, Tokyo Starlight Kid vs Saya Kamitani Giulia vs DEATH Yama-san Konami vs Himeka Mayu Iwatani vs Tam Nakano Saki Kashima vs Natsuko Tora AZM vs Maika Utami Hayashishita vs Syuri Momo Watanabe vs Jungle Kyona 5 Star GP Finals Uploaded to Stardom World eventually 5pm JST/9am BST/4am EST/1am PST New Japan G1 Climax 3 Opening Night EDION Arena, Osaka Yota Tsuji vs Yuya Uemura G1 Block A: Will Ospreay vs Yujiro Takahashi G1 Block A: Jeff Cobb vs Taichi G1 Block A: Minoru Suzuki vs Tomohiro Ishii G1 Block A: Jay White vs Shingo Takagi G1 Block A: Kazuchika Okada vs Kota Ibushi Live on NJPW World 6pm JST/10am BST/5am EST/2am PST Dragon Gate Storm Gate - Masato Yoshino 20th Anniversary Homecoming Higashioka Municipla Gym, Osaka Don Fujii, Ryo Saito & Shachihiko Boy vs Yosuke♥Santa Maria, Jason Lee & Punch Tominaga Genki Horiguchi vs Ben-K Kagetora & Susumu Yokosuka vs Kota Minoura & Dragon Dia Keisuke Okuda, KAI & U-T vs Diamante, Kazma Sakamoto & HYO Shuji Kondo & Yasushi Kanda vs YAMATO & Kzy Masato Yoshino, Ultimo Dragon, Naruki Doi & Dragon Kid vs Eita, BxB Hulk, Big R Shimizu & Kaito Ishida Live on DG Network DDT Legend The DDT Wrestling Legend Hall, Nagoya Naomi Yoshimura Vs Keigo Nakamura Chris Brookes & Danshoku Dieno Vs Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata Kazusada Higuchi & Saki Akai Vs Mizuki Watase & Hideki Okatani Soma Takao Vs Antonio Honda Daisuke Sasaki, Tetsuya Endo & Mad Paulie Vs HARASHIMA, Yuki Ueno & Yukio Naya Jun Akiyama & Makoto Oishi Vs Konosuke Takeshita & Akito Uploaded to Wrestle Universe 22nd September Also shows from Ice Ribbon, Freedoms, 2AW 20/9/2020, Sunday 10am JST/2am BST/9pm EST/6pm PST Gatoh Move ChocoPro 49 Ichigaya Chocolate Square, Tokyo Emi Sakura vs Chie Koishikawa Lulu Pencil vs Choun Shiryu Yuna Mizumori vs Mei Suruga Live on YouTube FOR FREE 2pm JST/6am BST/1am EST/10pm PST New Japan G1 Climax 30 EDION Arena, Osaka Yota Tsuji vs Gabriel Kidd G1 Block B: Juice Robinson vs YOSHI-HASHI G1 Block B: Toru Yano vs SANADA G1 Block B: Hirooki Goto vs EVIL G1 Block B: Zack Sabre Jr vs KENTA G1 Block B: Hiroshi Tanahashi vs Tetsuya Naito Live on NJPW World 4pm JST/8am BST/3am EST/12am PST Pro Wrestling NOAH N-1 Victory New Sunpia Takasaki, Takasaki Kinya Okada vs Nioh N-1 B Block: Naomichi Marufuji vs Yoshiki Inamura Go Shiozaki, Kaito Kiyomiya, Daisuke Harada & YO-HEY vs Kongo (Kenoh, Katsuhiko Nakajima, Hao & Tadasuke) N-1 A Block: Masa Kitamiya vs Manabu Soya N-1 A Block: Masaaki Mochizuki vs Kazushi Sakuraba N-1 B Block: Takashi Sugiura vs Shuhei Taniguchi Live on Wrestle Universe Also shows from Ice Ribbon (ICEx∞ title match Suzu Suzuk vs Tsukushi) & JWP 21/9/2020, Monday 11:30am JST/3:30am BST/10:30pm EST/7:30pm PST All Japan Champion Carnival Korakuen Hall, Tokyo Yoshitatsu Kingdom (Yoshitatsu, Seigo Tachibana & Yusuke Okada) vs Takao Omori, Chikara & Ryuki Honda AJPW World Junior Heavyweight Title #1 Contender match: TAJIRI, Dan Tamura, Black Menso~re, Rising HAYATO & Atsuki Aoyagi vs Hikaru Sato, Yusuke Kodama, Francesco Akira, Hokuto Omori & Izanagi AJPW World Junior Heavyweight title: Koji Iwamoto(c) vs Ikuto Hidaka CC A Block: Jake Lee vs Kuma Arashi CC A Block: Suwama vs Zeus CC B Block: Kento Miyahara vs Yuma Aoyagi CC B Block: Shotaro Ashino vs Shuji Ishikawa Live on AJPW TV 12pm JST/4am BST/11pm EST/8pm PST Tokyo Joshi Pro Live With Your Time Shinagawa The Grand Hall, Tokyo Hyper Misao Vs Raku Vs Himawari Unagi Pom Harajuku Vs Moka Miyamoto Miyu Yamashita Vs Sena Shiori Nodoka Tenma, Yuki Aino & Haruna Neko Vs Yuki Kamifuku, Mina Shirakawa & Mahiro Kiryu Yuka Sakazaki & Shoko Nakajima Vs Mizuki & Maki Itoh Natsumi Maki Vs Hikari Noa Princess Tag Team Titles: Rika Tatsumi & Miu Watanabe(c) Vs Mirai Maiumi & Suzume Live on Wrestle Universe 3pm JST/7am BST/2am EST/11pm PST Dragon Gate Dangerous Gate 2020 Ota Ward General Gymnasium, Tokyo Open The Brave Gate Title: Kaito Ishida(c) vs Yosuke♡Santa Maria Yasushi Kanda, Kagetora, Gamma & Ho Ho Lun vs Keisuke Okuda, Problem Dragon, Punch Tominaga & U-T Ultimo Dragon, Shuji Kondo & Masaaki Mochizuki vs Don Fujii, Genki Horiguchi & Ryo Saito Naruki Doi vs Kzy Open The Triangle Gate Title: Dragon Gate (Ben-K, Strong Machine J & Dragon Dia)(c) vs RED (Takashi Yoshida, Kazma Sakamoto & Diamante) Open The Twin Gate Title: Dragon Gate (Kota Minoura & Jason Lee)(c) vs Toryumon (Susumu Yokosuka & Dragon Kid) Cluster gently caress 6 Way Cage Match: Big R Shimizu vs KAI vs Masato Yoshino vs BxB Hulk vs YAMATO vs Eita For the myriad of rules & stipulations you should read this, but everyone has weird stips if they lose, like KAI has to leave DG forever & Eita has to leave RED & join DG Generation & BxB Hulk has to revert to his real name. BiliBili, comes through For something a bit earlier in his career, I'd recommend this match from 2003 Toryumon, a 4-way Trios title elimination match with Italian Connection (featuring Milano Collection AT), Do FIXER, Crazy MAX & Mochi's group Shin M2K (original M2K was a really funny, dumb group in the Toryumon tradition) I need to watch that 95 J Cup match because I've never seen pre-Toryumon Mochizuki I think my Holy Grail for Mochizuki would be the Mochizuki Produce shows that he ran across 2007 through 2009 & then again in 2011. You just got some real fun mixtures of DG guys & indie guys: the first show had Danshoku Dino vs Akira Tozawa, CIMA, Matt Sydal & BxB Hulk vs original Kaientai DX members TAKA, Dick Togo & MEN'S Teioh & then a main event of Mochi & Minoru Tanaka vs Ikuto Hidaka & Minoru Fujita. And one of the 2008 shows had what I think was the first Shingo Takagi vs Daisuke Sekimoto match which would be rad to see. They just look super fun on paper. forkboy84 fucked around with this message at 17:25 on Sep 19, 2020 |

I am desperately wanting to find out when/if the last 2AW show airs because stuff happened. And while I'm not the most invested in the promotion (today I found out that 2AW English language Twitter is a very small thing but does exist which is fun but surprising) Still not found any date but I am hopeful it will turn up in the usual spots eventually From what I can gather Dinosaur Takuma has turned heel (& presumably changed his name because you can't be a heel dinosaur) & created a new stable & has been joined by Ayumu Honda & Taishi Takizawa from Tempest & I think CHANGO as well. No idea what has happened to other Tempest member Shu Asakawa. They may be called The Andrew Kingdom or something may be lost in translation but I really hope not. I hope this means less bad gear of Takuma That has been your 2AW update. No results spoiled, just an angle

The NOAH Juniors are usually second fiddle and especially during this tournament but there was some pretty fascinating action after the undercard 6 man tag between Stinger and Harada, YO-HEY and Okada. YO-HEY attacked Harada to complete the collapse of RATEL'S and then walked off. Stinger start beating on Harada, the Kongo Jrs get involved, then Sugiura-gun and it's a whole mess and Atsushi Kotoge comes out to save Harada, they shake hands then Kotoge's Full Throttle team mates get pissed at that and attack Kotoge and Harada and YO-HEY joins them and it's an overbooked mess but in such a way it was fun to watch and at least they've done something with YO-HEY and Harada. Just not going to think too hard about the fact Full Throttle has only existed for a handful of months. Also MOTYC man Fujita will be back in NOAH for the N1 final show

forkboy84 posted:The NOAH Juniors are usually second fiddle and especially during this tournament but there was some pretty fascinating action after the undercard 6 man tag between Stinger and Harada, YO-HEY and Okada. Oh poo poo, I just skipped this match because I was on my third event of the day, going back to watch it now. Tentatively excited about a Momo no Seishun reunion, they were great whenever they made the trip over to Chikara back in the Osaka Pro days

Pretty sneaky forkboy84, I was feverishly looking for the NOAH show that starts in 10 minutes and I see you edited your schedule to a Tuesday release

I switched over to Dragon Gate during the intermission and Ultimo just brought out The Bodyguard to face Maria I guess? Which is loving weird. Okay, no it's Bodyguard vs Dragon Kid. Less weird. forkboy84 fucked around with this message at 11:29 on Sep 26, 2020 |
