I got a ladder like that (I can use it as a step ladder and an extension ladder) and I hate it because it's heavy and cumbersome and am surprised that I haven't ended up like that.

Idk what the thought process was here, if there was even one outside of “Let’s strap wings to a car and barrel through onlookers as we try to take off!*” There was a ramp that was clearly semi-involved, at least. *and barrel into a hangar instead. https://www.instagram.com/p/CFVejHbleE-/?igshid=1savbjuixwrov

There's nobody in the winged car so it looks like whatever method they were using to make it go straight (prayer, maybe?) didn't work.

How... What was the plan if they ever managed to get the wheels to actually leave the ground?? How do they think planes even work??

Uthor posted:Step 1) Treadmill Fun safety fact; In the classic internet "Airliner on a treadmill" question the real answer is that the airliners tires all explode because their failure speed is way less than twice their typical vr (takeoff speed). The airplane would almost certainly lose control and crash turning the treadmill into a 150 mile an hour conveyer belt of flaming airplane wreckage. Speaking of fire and exploding airplane tires here's an old classic that certainly belongs in this thread if it hasn't been posted here before https://youtu.be/irTizOVM-3U

What a great photo. It wasn't taken with much of a telephoto lens, which makes me wonder where the photographer was. Nice low profile harness.

Adam Savage built a cart/stand for a sander and planer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PEc5blz_fY So OF COURSE he builds out the frame then demonstrates setting up the planer, but picking it up off the cart, stepping ONTO THE CART WITH NON-LOCKED WHEELS, and sets it on top. Then he does it all over again to put the planer back in it's stowed position. EDIT: And he's shooting it alone in his workshop. Cthulu Carl fucked around with this message at 17:46 on Sep 20, 2020 |
