Every time I think there will be a lull in this thread, something new and wonderful happens. Goosefleet isn't secretly full of misogynists. In fact, I can't remember the last time I played with a group of folks who were so quick to acknowledge and correct themselves when they gently caress up my pronouns in chat. It's refreshing as hell. 10/10 would honk again.

I was thinking about this last night, because it happened in PnW, too. I think the formula is free stuff + silly theme + community standards. Then, war dec racists and you're off to the races. Winning is nice, but there's something especially freeing about playing for content that makes all enemies far less intimidating. Because what is there to lose? I get a fun game with a fun community that works together, and enemies that tag themselves. "Honk is friend" sums it all up.
