I'd agree that the scene of Homelander cumming over the city doesn't really fit with the characterization of him in the first season. After this season though, it might be more his style.

It would have been really fitting of him after the death of his "Mom", or doppelganger. Now he's free to do whatever he wants!
I think we got that kind of arc and empowerment when he fell into the arms of facism though.

Well as everyone knows, the only way you can be nazi is to have been a member of the democratic socialist party back in the 1940's. The only possible way. So maybe she gets outed and there's a moment of "Oh, she's a nazi!" from the crowd, then she dies and everyone's like "Hooray, no more nazis! We're the good guys again!" as they go back to saying the exact same things the nazi was saying. While staring straight at the camera, speaking to the audience as clearly as possible.

Totally offtopic, but this bugs me so drat much. Over/Under means you think it's going to be more/less than a certain number, which is set before betting starts. For instance, I'm going to set the percentage of the votes to threadban Bioshuffle at 95%. The over is more than that, the under is less.

This has been your gambling lesson for the day.

Speaking of, Bioshuffle has been a pain in the rear end a lot but they haven't really been as obnoxious as the backlash against them has been, mainly because this should have been taken care of a while back. I've tried giving them the benefit of the doubt but it's obvious they're trying to skirt the rules as to what's acceptable and getting other people pissed off so they get in trouble instead. Almost every insight into the show has been willful ignorance that the only way I can understand is either they aren't actually paying attention to the show or just plain trying to piss people off ("I get no racist vibes" to defend someone after she uses a racial slur while killing an asian man, "I get no transphobic vibes" after a joke that objectifies transgender people, and that doesn't even touch on the elementary-at-best understanding of the nazis or neo nazi movements).

It'd have to be a very tiny amount of liquid, I doubt it. Although I guess a drug dose could be pretty small.

Yeah, the chip was probably so big due to the battery required for whatever kind of active tracker they use.

Who says it has to be a drug? Could be a vial of hydrofluoric acid. That'd either kill you or make you wish you were dead if they had to pop the chip.

Gotta wonder how starlight manages to use her powers without draining the chip though. She gets electricity wirelessly (i.e. nothing has to contact her, she just absorbs it). Maybe it's just too tiny?

Noooooooooooooo! Goons not understanding over/under is one of the best long running gags on SA. If there is one legacy from SA that sticks it should be over/under. Second place is the hotdogs are/are not sandwiches. Third place is the eternal question of pineapple on pizza. Then comes The Church of Judohobo. If Judohobo had access to V then it would become the best world. Well him or Fleece Johnson.

I guess this would fit the pattern of the supes that have objectively the most use for intelligence gathering / wetworks operations getting completely shafted in favor of the flashy Homelander types.

Like realistically Doppelganger, Mesmer, and someone who could assassinate people anywhere in the world by looking at their picture would be the CIA / JSOC's wet dream but Vought's pitch to the military is having Superman doing laser-powered strafing runs instead.

I am 100% down for more insane real-life CIA projects getting showtime though.

Seriously, why was Butcher waterboarding people at Gitmo when Mesmer could have just touched them?

I always wondered if Doppleganger was a Vought secret, or at least not super public.

Payback could be in the show. Stormfront's obviously not in them this time, which leaves Mindro as the the only real difference they would have to do. He was basically a version of Mesmer from Season 1 who could remotely read minds. It would be really fun to see what they could do with Soldier Boy.

I might have misread, but I think I saw they had cast someone as Soldier Boy, so we might get that at some point. I'm guessing in season 3 at the rate the show's going now.

Stormfront's line about Starlight being very useful to her cause is definitely going to come up next episode, probably at the rally.

What's the over/under on the Black Noir/Starlight fight? Either going to be him capturing Starlight to imprison her or her fighting out. Both could do with a real show of strength.

Cindy destroys Vought HQ killing tons of people allowing Homelander to gain more power. Homelander kills Maeve when she tries to blackmail him.

Unrelated, I like how the show doesn’t show the 7 going on anything but a few token adventures. It’s just like the comic books of the major characters who never do anything small anymore because their powers are too strong. It’s always something saving the world or off planet or other dimension.
