Seriously though, the Vive Pro Eye has been out a while, there's basically nothing that actually uses the eye tracking right? I don't think know many enterprise applications were made to support it and I definitely don't think anyone got foveated rendering to work.

From talking to my Oculus guy it seems the production lines are pretty back up for whatever reason so they could be hitting some 11th hour holdups. No word when the dec unit might show up, but I’m not about to go cause trouble for a free toy.

Only reason I haven't preordered is because I have a $10 coupon at the Epic Store i might be able to use once its out (can't use on pre-orders). But god drat it this is all I'm looking forward to this weekend please don't be poo poo. Also it appears a lot of the issues stem from the Origin only version. No idea if the Steam launch (which iirc just opens Origin for EA games) will fare any better. Happy Noodle Boy fucked around with this message at 14:04 on Oct 1, 2020 |

I'd have to imagine that once it's in the Steam library the VR/flat back and forth bullshit won't matter because it's got SteamVR open and handling that, right?

Is there any VR game or even a tech demo i can try that have implemented DLSS? I'm really interested in how well that piece of tech would work in practice, especially in VR where all the flaws of checkerboard rendering would be extra visible.
