The rate this is progressing (including "hey folks he's out of the woods, the worst is over") is starting to sound like the whole thing is a sham and they just can't resist moving from PHASE 5 to PHASE 6 of the rehearsed script in a matter of hours instead of, like, weeks as it would be if they were committed to authenticity Of course what it really means is Trump is still days away from even starting to go properly downhill

I feel like this whole thing is a lose-lose for Trump. Either he dies (which, arguably, is a loss for him) or he survives, but his survival is gonna take the wind out of him, yet any and all good will he might've gained after this will be swept away when he starts his usual hostile tweeting, snarling and flailing about traitors, witch hunt and LAW & ORDER.

If this was in any way a normal functioning administration Pence would currently be acting President. Trump would have consented to the 25th for the duration of this medical emergency and that would be that. This is not normal.
