im drinkin some bourbon and water. it is nice as always. it's maybe getting cold and will be scotch/irish whiskey season? I think I'm going to try drinking irish whiskey instead of scotch this winter actually I will drink whichever is cheapest i lied

Haven't had Four Loko since they took out the caffeine. Last nigh I drank a pastry stout from Great Notion. I think I posted about it. I couldn't finish it. Too cloyingly sweet and too many weird fruit and nut essences added so it just smells like cheap candy/perfume. I was eating dark chocolate with it and the beer was far sweeter. Like I think trying new stuff is cool and all but I hate this poo poo. Why is everyone so into Great Notion? I've never had a good beer from them. I remember going there when they'd just opened and like half the beer menu was kettle sours with fruit essences added so it tasted all artificial and stuff. They had a "blueberry muffin" beer that tasted like one of those cheap, pre packaged muffins you'd get at a convenience store or something. I dunno. Just irks me that this is the hot poo poo and really nice balanced beers are getting harder to come by. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk

also like 80% of people are gonna think west coast ipa is disgusting, and part of that is because of the ibu arms race of the 2000s. I've heard so many people tell me they don't like ipa but they love zombie dust or daisy cutter drat I'm gonna have an ipa now I think

this is what I'm talking about. excuse the glass I was drinking out of it before and didn't want to dirty another one. 6.3%, idk the IBU but it's gotta be no more than 45 or so. simcoe, nugget, and mosaic, hazy but not murky. i know they use the heady topper strain which with this much hop oil is just going to be hazy no matter what you do, but it also gives a nice peach ester. pretty soft mouthfeel, but not creamy. huge aromatics of citrus and tropical fruit, malt is basically not present in the nose at all. light malt flavor but definitely dominated by the hops through the middle, with stone fruit on the finish and enough bitterness to not leave an impression of sweetness. A Good Beer and a good brewery. of course they also do terrible milkshake poo poo because it sells like hotcakes more falafel please fucked around with this message at 06:00 on Oct 8, 2020
