In all this talk of the Rays being the real bad guys for being penny pinchers, i think we lost track of the fact that the Astros are such pinchers themselves they lobbied the league to effectively kill minor league baseball. You wanna talk about what economic choices are being made that are ultimately bad for the game long term look no further.

He pulled his starter in the first inning because he wanted to put in his fun rookie (literally drafted this year) who got through two batters before leaving with forearm tightness. The staff was already fatigued from the first two games. It was monumentally stupid

White Sox will win the World Series in 2022, then other teams will hire Rick Renteria just to fire him and guarantee a World Series victory.

I can see your point, that is a quick hook but it was in an elimination game and the SP gave up 2 quick hits and the fun rookie got them out of the jam. Injuries in baseball happen all the time so I'm not even sure why that got brought up. It didn't work out and hindsight is 20/20, but when your staff has a bb/9 of, uh, 11.25 it probably just wasn't your day. Monumentally stupid and most brutal managing displays ever seems hyperbolic

He was burning through pitchers so quickly he backed himself into a corner needing to use Carlos "loving" Rodon in the middle of an inning. They weren't pitching great, but he was making panic move after panic move.

I'm surprised they fired the pitching coach Don Cooper too. He seemed like one of Jerry's job for life guys, but I'm guessing the level of manager they want to get wouldn't accept not picking his own guy.

I don't think I've seen the teenager this excited in...ever? THIS IS HOW YOU MARKET TO YOUTH, MLB

Happy “Braves return to the LCS for the first time in 19 years after losing 8 straight division series” Day, they will not beat the Dodgers but if they push it to 6 games and stay mostly competitive it will be an overwhelming success and even if not at least they got over one hump.

All the podcasts and columns are saying that if the Braves are going to win this series they have to win 2 of the first 3 because the Dodgers have a significant pitching advantage in games 4 and 5. So I'm pretty sure that means the Dodgers will go up 3-0 and then blow it in 7.
