It might be good, it might be bad, but I think it's always cool when a car company is self-aware enough to have a sense of humour about itself. Just imagine Nissan making jokes about how loving terrible all its recent cars have been. That would be endearing!

My only real complaint is that the camera quality is too good to be 60s/70s commercials. But then again I would rather see and hear what's going on. Also, the joke at the end was low hanging fruit but worth it.

More to the point, it might be a great vehicle, it might be a piece of trash, but at least Ford is acknowledging that they understand that people feel emotions about vehicles. You can argue it's stupid, but it's the fundamental truth that every luxury marque has figured out and the only reason Jeep makes money, so, gently caress it, why shy away from that? Have a laugh, stick a 7-speed MT someplace where it's objectively loving useless, because that's what your customers want and god knows no one does (or should) buy an expensive new vehicle if they don't like the way it makes them feel emotionally.
