Next season there will be a casual, low-key reveal that one of Maeve's powers is the ability to teleport, but only to and from locations on the ground.

I wouldn’t be surprised at a time skip next season because Butcher is probably gonna take that CIA gig? (I don’t know what was intended by him walking away) and MM is back with his family and I don’t see him leaving them soon so he needs a motivation to get back in the game.

Also the seven needs one/two extra members so the next season will probably open with a new line up.

Casting spoiler the captain America expy Soldier Boy has been cast for next season south could either go the way that he’s the replacement or that he’s on a rival Avengers (payback) team

That's the pole holding the flag. Those poles are two pieces that are screwed together with a brass bit in the middle of the pole.

I'm stupid then, I thought the brass bits you pointed out were the handle.
Here's a better shot of where the door is though, flag and Homelander are in scene for reference.

You're not stupid. I just happen to have to set up rooms like that all the time and deal with 50 dumb flags all the time.

I haven't gone back and re-watched the scene, but people are telling me that it's obvious that head popper is staring at people's who have their heads explode. Her eyes don't change though.

We've never seen Homelander not wearing his costume, correct? Other than a few scenes where he's missing his pants. I can just imagine him in like a Hawaiian shirt and cargo shorts, with Starr playing him super awkward and uncomfortable.

An element of that is Starr is much smaller than most of the cast, so he is always wearing a padded suit and heels to look big and imposing.

Fair enough, the only reason I knew there'd be a door there is because I'm generally familar with how those committee rooms are laid out; both in media and real life.
Yeah for the majority of the people who have their heads pop, it's pretty obvious once you know it's her. She looks at them a few seconds before their heads pop, they even have shots where they put her in the middle of the screen while her eyes flick around the room.

I'm pretty much just spitballing about how her power works or how powerful she is since the season ended and I don't have much else to watch except Fargo and Lovecraft Country.

It's entirely possible that her eyes cloud over only when she's 'trying harder' or has to expend more effort, so to speak. Maybe head-popping has range limits. During the hearing, she was less than 20ish ft. from the victims with a direct line of sight. When she pops the Church Guy's head, she's on the sidewalk, with the lawn/wall/window between, and can presumably barely see him, when she pops the FBI directer, the lady's nose is bleeding for a bit beforehand, and she (briefly) seems to sense something is up.

loving lol at the super fakeout "happy endings." I fully expect every situation to go bad immediately.

Also, has everybody in the world forgotten that Nazi was a pejorative that the enemies of Germany used? Why did Stormfront say people just don't like the word Nazi? Fully paid up German national socialists didn't like it either, duh. A more recent similar term would be Daesh instead of ISIS/ISIL.

I look at this relabeling of those "bad" Germans* from the 30's and 40's as Nazis and not Germans, as they were, as being the second most impressive propaganda of the 20th century. The first being the conflation of Israel and Judaism.

*Good Germans were visiting their Aunt at the time.

Underrated funny concept in the finale is that Stormfront being revealed as a hundred year old Nazi shows that Compound V provides eternal youth and possibly immortality, and Vought's like "No, we can't sell this."

Oh they will sell it, just under the table and so they can charge more to the wealthiest clientele they choose to. Think cuban cigars for Americans.... a status symbol of the polo class. They charge them insane amounts and money and gain an ally that can influence even more guys at the top. One of the reasons they were experimenting at the asylum. Create a stable compound v and then create a version where you can choose the power you get. The Royals/Blue Bloods get long life (probably with multiple annual treatments to keep the leash short) and the top tier powers, thugs/police get Kimiko level and maybe give a bunch of oil workers get Deep powers.

That ending was so drat fun. "Sup shitbirds", was loving hilarious. Darn this show for making me like A-Train. Please don't let him go back to being a dick. "Girls do get it done" was telegraphed but so enjoyable as was the entire nazi beatdown. Glad to see Maeve being a hero and loved the image of her and Starlight being the core of a new 7. Starlight looking sad about Hughie wanting to be on his own until he said "Not you. I'm not letting you go... I'm not crazy." Becca just blatantly stating why it was important she stuck with the kid, The Boys enjoying their brief meeting and Butcher keeping his word. MM going home to his kid and Kimiko and Serge going dancing as good friends. Everything was so sodding happy and whatnot that you forget the bad guys kinda won. Edgar kicked everyone's rear end. The Boys cleaned up his mess and he's got his own AOC as the face of his opposition. I know some people wondered if she was her own person but I thought they made it very blatant that she is Vought bought and paid for. Yeah they lost Stormfront but she was always a bloody nazi and therefore problematic so now she's the fallguy and so they will restrict everyone getting powers and just a "chosen" few who get to feel lucky and, more importantly, loyal to Vought. Stormfront got people mad and scared so this new regime will make them safe and people will thank them for it. The only check and balance is AOC and her CIA team under Mallory who will probably answer to AOC and, unknowingly, Edgar. The Boys can be pointed to anyone causing trouble that the AOC misdirects any opposition and controls any attacks on Vought. loving diabolical yeah? Ryan going with Mallory seems sweet but you know Vought will still be keeping a close eye on his upbringing. Edgar wanted him to have a Clark Kent style family and now they will choose one for him. Edgar didn't mastermind everything that happened (see the hilarious extraction team showing up right before HL calmly walks in) but knew how to plan, pivot and risposte. Wouldn't surprise me if Edgar sends someone to get those juicy Scientology files as I bet he DID know that Boys L Ron was always going to be a threat. Edgar won and controls it all... except a very powerful and deranged Homelander. I don't want this ride to end but I can't see Homelander making it two more seasons holding on to his sanity. I am guessing next season HL Edgar stands triumphant but the Boys start figuring it out. HL starts to crack and in the finale snaps and just starts killing everyone. Fourth season would be the final as they gear up to take him down. Maybe I'm wrong but just not sure they should stretch this out to 5 and definitely not beyond.

Lastly, gently caress the acting and writing are so good. We have all said it but Starr was incredible as always. He really conveyed the pain, desperation and loss of Homelander genuinely wanting to connect with his son and spare him what he suffered through. Starr and the script are so good they make it easy to forget that Homelander is an irredeemable monster and would make your skull go splat because he found the sound funny. Butcher is the same. I know we have had plenty of red flags but I still find myself liking the guy. Those moments with Becca and protecting Ryan just make me want to believe, even though a cynical voice says "You know denying him his kid would be the ultimate way to hurt Homelander. Ryan being scared shitless of Homie is just icing on the sodding cake." MM, Miko, Serge, A-Train, Maeve, Noir, Hughie, Starlight and even that silly douche Deep. Love watching them on this show. So many modern stories forget to make you like the characters, both protagonists and antagonists, minor and major. You should care about what happens to them. One thing I want to say is I enjoyed the actress playing Becca and thought she was perfect. Knew she was doomed but I don't mind that it went down like that. Edgar keeping covert tabs on Ryan while supplying test Kents make for some good tension. Also I really like Mallory. Hoping they do more of the Boys with Mallory for a bit before nuking her. Just like how they have portrayed the difference in dynamic. Mallory's Boys are professionals. Butcher's boys are a bunch of rogue misfit loose cannons.

About the only thing I was disappointed in was Lamplighter. Totally threw me off and expected him to last longer. I get it but and parts make sense but still... wanted more. Even him getting popped by AOC after trying to do the right thing for once would have felt better to me. gently caress me, it's going to be a long wait for season 3.

Butcher was certainly going to try but I doubt he could've done any real physical damage to the kid before Ryan either tossed him away or flash fried him.... which is probably what Butcher really wanted at that point.

HL swooping in did inadvertently save the world from Ryan growing up with the unresolved guilt of killing his mother and then the betrayal/rage of having his mother's husband try to kill him. Imagine how hosed up the kid would be after all that.
