Doctor Strange #18 is basically just 20 pages of Steven rampaging through some people's home wrecking their poo poo and being an absolute rear end.

I figured they’d lean more Benedict Cumberbatch these days instead of going full-speed Doctor Orpheus

Dr Orpheus is barely an exaggeration of silver age Dr Strange, and I think that's from Mark Waid's run and you know he's read those a billion times.

That whole story is a trip. All the "later" Marvel stuff Ditko did seems to be "weird as balls" poo poo they shoved in Annuals or, like here, What If?

It's not apparent from this out-of-context panel, but Keith Dragon's ultimate final form is somebody's bubbe who lives in Florida.

Also interesting tidbit, I believe the Ippo timeline is around 1999-2000 at the moment so those are most likely meant to be the WTC Towers.

George Morikawa is pretty good about tracking his timeline as the series has been going for just over 31 years now.
You'll occasionally see different types of tech and it's all fairly accurate.

Sorry for the brief derail, but Ghostlight: what's your av from? There's someone in GBS with the same cat but animated, also with the text "Success!"

(I guess it kinda qualifies for this thread bc it's a piece of drawn comic-y art that makes me chuckle when I see it)

It's Nekonaughey, a Japanese comic strip that gets translated and posted in the Comic Strip Megathread on occasion.

I'm even (mostly) the one who translates and posts it. Nekonaughey is a large ginger every-man cat and the comics kind of ended up with Success! being a kind of catchphrase as it often appears at every minor victory against life.
