Yeah, Gino and the other ones mentioned are enough to keep my sub active if I can get a good deal but I hope that autorenewal was a definite mistake rather than bullshit. I subscribe to SXM so maybe they'll lump Stitcher in with that at some point.

Their support got back to me and said the charge was an accident due to them using a new billing and subscription management system. I'd definitely double check your credit card statement when your subscription year wraps around just for safety. Everything on my user settings on their website indicated I didn't have a premium account and they didn't email me about the renewal. I wouldn't have caught this if I wasn't looking at my bank statements.

Yeah appreciate the heads up, I got mine on Dec 29th last year so must've been during a holiday sale. I'll set a reminder a few days before to check up on it and ensure nothing funny going on.

The extra shady thing is that IIRC the option to turn off auto renewal is only available once you cancel. I'm now also remembering at the start having an issue where I wasn't getting access to premium until like 2 weeks into my subscription.

I just gave in and let it auto-renew every year. There's enough that I like listening to on premium that it's worth it. And I guess I'm still one of the few that don't mind the Stitcher app.

Yeah I personally have zero issues with the app beyond getting annoyed if there’s something I want to listen to that isn’t in their library. (iPhone version).

I still use the unofficial feeds mostly but I've used the Stitcher app recently and it seems to have gotten a lot better.
