To add content I generally like contrapoints but she is clearly up her own rear end in regards to threading the needle between left and "realistic progressive" or whatever and has ended up, clearly, on the absolutely wrong side of understanding what's at stake or what the actual arguments against supporting the democratic party are. Bed of a bad choice bullshit without even a hint of mentioning the idea that powerful liberals are the lefts direct opposition and not some just milquetoast alternative, but an actual enemy. Basically your surefire sign that someone just doesn't get where the conflict between capital and workers actually lies, and an argument that would quickly break down when you actually have to talk to an actual leftist instead of the strawman she presents. She should absolutely be getting dragged through the mud for this, as should anyone.

shes always been pretty straightforward which i like but yeah her views have developed from lefty into what she says in one of her videos basically paraphrased "i wanted socialism when i was a male alcoholic, now i just want to be beautiful", she's lost interest in the political content and basically just likes the dressing up and using cool props and doing videos about glamour i wish her luck in her journey into the considerably crazier and larger world of beauty youtube

to be quite fair, "leftist" for the American reality is kinda easy to dilute because technically in a general sense it can easily include your average contemporary Democratic voter given that, well, the USA is the heart of neoliberalism and thus is pretty well conservative or very conservative on most matters when compared to the rest of the world any American who recognizes themselves as "socialist", "communist", "anarchist" or whatever other role of that herd of cats also recognizes themselves as leftists in that broader sense shared by the world, which also brings a lot of prerogatives with that definition; to claim that Noam Chomsky is not a leftist because he is voting Democratic and urging others to do so is ridiculous, but that does not make him exempt of criticism about this specific issue; likewise, to say "I want universal healthcare and good wages" doesn't mean that who says it is a leftist, because those are perfectly compatible with a liberal POV, especially in the sense of the younger "progressive liberal" mindset seen in some places, which claims that tidbits of socialism are necessary to make a better, more efficient capitalism, so to speak
