i've seen leftists use those exact arguments used against voting in general, tho. i think her argument of voting as a chess move is fine, but it's misplaced here. voting in the national election is, to me, a harm reduction thing that i gladly do. voting in local and state elections is a necessity, imo, and more akin to a chess game.
