Am I missing something? Because it seems to say the bullet that hit the cop didn't have sufficiently identifiable marking to tie it to any particular gun.

i am not linking the story because it is an absolute unparalleled nightmare, i am not kidding, do not google it if you have strong reactions to this kind of thing, but a guy who was charged with the murder (2nd deg) of his 8-year-old son was allowed to retire from the NYPD and keep his pension. he was suspended without pay since January, but no official disciplinary action.

It would be very easy to clear up, but not only are they stonewalling, they're also trying to fabricate evidence and testimony to clear the officers of any wrongdoing. E.g., they tried pressure her ex-boyfriend into a plea deal that would require him to implicate Taylor into his drug sales to help justify the no-knock warrant at her apartment and allow them to smear her in the press.
