it doesn't really matter if china's mode of production is capitalist or socialist right now; what matters is whether it is going towards socialism or not - that is, whether the state is of the bourgeoisie or of the proletariat. and do note that formerly proletarian governments can and have become bourgeois or at least "degenerated" in the past (see the example of [PICK DEPENDING ON OPINION: Stalin, Khrushchev, Gorbachev]), so it is possible.

Just the specific capitalist in question is the state, rather than J.D Rockefeller or whatever. The idea of rejecting it as an oxymoron a priori imo gets you further away from the reality that capitalism is always a state project, and is always asserted, propagated, and defended with state assets and state institutions.

Has Vaush like, ever advocated for any politicians outside the national level or is he all just votescolding for Biden and calling other people class reductionists? Like you can argue about the utility of lefty podcasters all you want but at least Brace and the Chapo crew have made me aware of good candidates at the local and regional level even if they're in places I don't live.
